LIBERATORS

Space Marines Stratagem

Liberators of countless systems and planets, vanquishers of the heretical, the daemonic and the degenerate, these warriors are a blade honed in the fires of a hundred battles.

Use this Stratagem at the start of the Fight phase. Pick an INDOMITUS CRUSADER unit from your army. Until the start of your next turn, each time you roll an unmodified hit roll of 6 for an attack made by a model in this unit, that attacks inflicts 2 hits on the target instead of 1.

The Red Grail: Friendly BLOOD ANGELS INFANTRY and BIKER units increase their Strength characteristic by 1 whilst they are within 6" of any SANGUINARY PRIESTS. In addition, each time you make a hit roll of 6+ in the Fight phase for a model in a friendly BLOOD ANGELS unit that is within 6" of Brother Corbulo, that model may immediately make another close combat attack using the same weapon. These bonus attacks cannot themselves generate any additional close combat attacks.

Brother Corbulo's special rule + the indomitus crusader stratagem LIBERATORS. Does the liberators stratagem stack with The Red Grail? So, if I roll a 6, and that roll generates another six, does the liberators stratagem apply to the second roll of 6, meaning an extra two hits are generated in total ? The 6 has not been 'modified' in any instance, and Corbulo's special rule simply states that his bonus procs can't create additional procs--they do not chain. But an extra hit isn't an extra attack.

I'm pretty sure that Blood Angels cannot be Indomitus Crusaders as the necessary Stratagem is a Space Marines Stratagem, not a Blood Angeles Stratagem.

Ignoring that issue, if both rules were in effect on an attack, a unmodified 6 that is also a roll of 6+ would yield two hits for LIBERATORS and one additional hit for The Red Grail. This is per the FAQ that makes additional hits created by an attack as having no specific roll value.

Isn't it the case that Founding Chapters get access to space marines tactics, though? Or if this isn't the case, that they can be granted through the inheritors of the primarch running as a successor chapter? I find the whole tuning successor chapters thing extremely confusing.

You cannot use SM stratagems on BA.

Q. If I include a Space Marines Detachment in my army, can
I use the Stratagems from Codex: Space Marines to affect
Adeptus Astartes units from other codexes, such as Codex:
Grey Knights or Codex: Deathwatch?
A: No, as noted in the second paragraph under Space
Marine Units and Detachments on page 174 of Codex:
Space Marines.
