Hi guys,
So this little fella is pretty new but could fit perfectly in my Maru Skara EC army !
But it got competition with the javelins. So I was curious to get actual feedback on the tank (and even the model) in game by players who actually used it.
Anything can help !

Haven't played with/against but I do want a couple. They're simply not as good as javelins, but they're ok. Most of the upgrades aren't really worth it. What they really have going for them is access to neutron blasters, really useful for suppressing fire from big scary vehicles. The autocannons are ok and I'll likely magnetize mine between those and neutron blasters, the autocannons are decent but quad mortars with shrapnel rounds seem a bit better in that role for the points (obviously different force org slot). Top weapon I'd likely take a multimelta, not the cheapest option but useful.

Are you trying to decide on load outs?

Do you play 30k? It'd be a lot cooler if you did.

I need it to take down enemy armour, as I use mainly infantry I'm super scared of blast and template heavy armies. So the neutron laser looks exceptionaly good for that ! With some sabre missiles, 2 sabre tanks could be a very cost effective answer to any enemy vindicator / Typhon / etc
Bypassing armor and flare shields. But I don't know how effective it would effectively be, if I don't destroy them for good once and for all.

I'm in the same situation - looking at Fast Attack options for a Land Raider heavy Iron Hands Fist of the Gorgon list. I'm edging towards Speeders over Sabres, but Sabres do look cool.

I feel like it is a thematic choice, do you want to have a mostly tank based force? Sabres are your guy.

Well, neutron is cool but I would argue more niche and if you want it to work you need 2-3. For myself, I'd only take neutron blasters if I was facing super heavies or large tanks wtih a lot of firepower that you want to supress. It's not so much about killing them as rendering their firepower useless turn by turn.

If you want them to kill enemy armour, autocannon and multi melta. Forget the missiles, you're paying 5pts for a single assault cannon shot. IMO it's just not worth it. Much better to take a pintle mounted combi bolter of some kind.

Reality tho, a jevlin is still a better investment point for point, especially with multi melta and missile loudout and two hunter killers. In the fast attack foc, it's hard not to pick javelins first. Sabres are cool and I really want a couple, but they're easy to weight down with points that don't show a lot of return.

Do you play 30k? It'd be a lot cooler if you did.

Ok I see, I think after having read this and seen the prices on the website, I'll probably keep going with the speeders for now, as I don't play a tanks thematic army anyways.
If you have any experience or comment about this tank, feel free to keep posting here, though !
