Antimatter is running a new Kickstarter campaign for both minis and scenery that works across both their game systems. If you ever plan on playing games underwater here's a great spot to pick up a ton of files.

20 bucks gets you a starter set of minis, plus all the stretch goal figures-
Spoiler:

20 bucks can also get you the terrain options-

Spoiler:

Or you can spend 40 and get access to everything. The value really gets there when those stretch goals get hit.

Speaking of stretch goals, here's some of the initial offerings. Those scenery ones are especially cool as they're doing boards as well as the scatter terrain that accompanies them. Quite amibitious!

Spoiler:

Doesn't seem like this campaign is going to be offering any actual printed or cast models though.

There are add on files from their previous campaign available at pretty reasonable prices.

I got some of the larger monsters printed last time around on an FDM printer. I can show those off later. Primarily these are probably meant for resin printers though. At regular size that theropod is about the size of a Carnosaur.

Take a look!

Love Anti-Matter games...

I'm in!

But once again looking for the resin/pre-printed options as I've no 3D printer at home!

Interesting concept doing entire 2x2 ft boards. I hope Sunless Forest unlocks, it looks awesome.

Funded and first stretch goal hit!

Tzeentch players might be able to get use out of something like this...

Plus they're offering up the Fortune Hunters sub as an optional add on-

I've got a resin sub that I need to get back to work on. It's a cool kit. I do appreciate the fact that they'll be offering a solid version for those who don't want to be bothered painting up the interior.

There are quite a few designs I would love to print. Someday. When I have a printer.

Really hope the Orgug Giant makes it.

No worries Bob- by the time this campaign ends I should have mine up and running by then, and hopefully we'll all be able to leave the house by then as well!

I too hope the Orgug makes it. Looks like a fun design.

For those unaware the Hell's Gate terrain set has been unlocked.

I'm really interested to see how that board is going to work. Obviously it's going to have to be printed in parts.

Also just about the perfect size for WarCry and Kill Team if you want to really double down on the chaos style!

It says the scatter pieces are individual, the base is probably made of 4x4" sections with openLOCK clips or something like that and has flat areas for the pieces.

A few more stretch goals unlocked, and about a thousand away from unlocking the fungal forest ruins.
If you want actual physical models, a lot of the catalog has been opened up if you need them cast in resin as well.
Check it out!

New unlocked stuff!

This one wraps up this week on the 17th!

The Sunless Forest Ruins have been unlocked and it's a couple hundred away from unlocking the big four- armed Gug like monster.

I really dig the idea of having a completely printed self- contained gaming board.

Plus those mushroom stalks are great scatter for Shadowsea as well as any sort of Goblin- heavy location!

A friend of mine recently got an ELEGOO Mars 3D resin printer and is loving it.

But...the bed size isn't that big: 4.53"(L) x 2.56"(W) x 6.1"(H) Printing Size

When I asked about the terrain in this campaign, I was told that bed size was probably a bit too small.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good resin 3D printer that would work well for this campaign's terrain options?

EDIT:

Campaign page seems to indicate a 220mm x 220mm printing size requirement?

For printing terrain I recommend. . . not using a resin printer. Use an FDM printer for that. Ender 3 Pro (or a similar style unit) is ideal for pumping out terrain. I've printed several of the City of Tarok stuff and tons of other generic stuff from Thingiverse using an Ender 3 Pro, and it looks great when painted up.

If you want to print terrain with resin, you'll kinda be limited to small stuff or lots of pieces (such as Openlock-style stuff). I've found that for terrain, I just can't be bothered fiddling with printing a ton of pieces and assembling. I want to print as large and as few pieces as possible, and this just can't be achieved affordably with resin at the moment. Obviously the detail isn't as good, but the time and money savings to me GREATLY outweighs the loss of detail (which I don't even notice when playing a game anyway).

I'm going to probably be picking up an Ender in the next few weeks. Seems like the best choice for both terrainn and some of the larger models.
Plus the printer and plastic spools are a bit easier to source at the moment than resin cleanup materials.

Next stretch goal should unlock pretty soon too!

This is good advice - thank you!

I do prefer resin printers for miniatures, and I can't really justify purchasing two 3D printers at this point, so I'll probably just stick with a resin print and not bother trying to print terrain at this point.

Again, thank you for the advice, I appreciate it!

So yeah, this dude just unlocked.

I like the overall look but something about the mouth seems off.

After this, the next goal is the Infected Knight they showed off before, and then we'll be heading towards the shipwrecked reef board.

You'll need something like the Phrozen Transform which is a pretty expensive consumer printer at $2,000 but you could if that's what you really want. As others said the terrain is better for FDM, though some parts might be better in resin depends on the final size of things, and then you can use one of the many layer line fillers out there to smooth out the lines and make them less noticeable. I have some from Badger that's used via an airbrush but just haven't tried it as I'm curious how it behaves vs the 2 part resin people use to smooth models out.

I think I'll stick to a resin printer and only concentrate on models for now - I've changed my pledge accordingly.

Eventually I might get a second printer (FDM) for terrain stuff but...not for a while!

New model unlocked!

Also a couple hundred dollars short of another play area of a reef with a wrecked ship and other scatter.

I feel like I'm getting a lot more value with what's on offer here compared to other STL campaigns...

Antimatter are crazy good deals for the STLs. Eric seams to just want to fund the game and the resins and not care really making a ton of money. Only think that's comparable are Titan Forges and DucanShadow's patrons.

Surprisingly I really don't care for any of the addons this time around or I already have them in resin from a previous KSer. I really want the $1900 unlock for RPGs but I'm sure we'll see that later on in the year in another campaign.

In for $1 to get the rules. No printer currently, and no plans for one anytime soon. If they do the same upgrade pledge on their Next KS and I have a printer I’ll probably go all in. Need to check out the rules first though.

The rules are, for me, fantastic.

The right amount of detail and a really, really fun game overall.

I'l seriously considering getting a resin 3D printer soon - but until then, I've a friend who has one who will help me out!

Between the last campaign and this one (plus all the Patreons that seemed to have popped up as of late) it seems like the perfect storm for me to finally get a printer.

As a note, I tried to begin printing out the Ziggurat from the last campaign...it is about 20mm per side too large for an Ender 3 Pro bed. I am now going to have to learn how to rescale in Cura 4.5.

Also, most of the terrain I have tried prints just fine on the standard Cura settings of .4mm.

Urusei Yatsura, Cerebus the Aardvark, Machiavelli, Plato and Happy Days. So, how was your childhood?

It's no harder than changing font size in Word.

But what you really want to do is learn to cut up objects in Meshmixer.

If you have windows 8 or 10 you can use microsoft 3d builder. It's a much better app then meshmixer for cutting and joining objects.

Meshmixer has some great functionality but it fails 50% of the time on any Boolean join for me while builder doesn't and builder is a simpler program to learn if you just want to slice, join, hollow, subtract. Plus it has optional collision detection so you can use it to lay out tiles and such.
