Hi folks, just a little question about airbrush primers

I'm mainly wondering if people use normal paints for base coats - such as citadel base or vallejo game color etc

Would you thin these base coat down more so than the airbrush paint you layer over it or roughly the same?

I have just decided to invest in an airbrush this week -iwata neo

For the moment its mainly for priming and learning on - I have been using spray cans but the weather in my area is a little temperamental so its tricky to get good results sometimes, or have to stink the kitchen out using them inside....

I'm almost ready to get started - couple things are in the post and just need some Primer now i think.

I have a decent selection of paints from a large joblot I bought of ebay a few months ago which include some airbrush paints of mixed brands and was thinking of trying to use these up first. (sadly no primers)

What do Game workshop use for base coating miniatures they will airbrush? Spray can? Thinned down base paint? Any old Citadel air paint? or do they secretly use Vallejo surface primer and not ell anyone?

Thanks
