Title sums it up. I just finished giving my second set of 5 wraithguard/blades magnetized shoulders and arms. right arms are the issue, as it only comes with one set for the CC combos. I chose to take my d-flamers and turn those arms into axe arms (I have another set that is magnetised for swords, cannon or flamer). In any case, I now have a set of wraithguard with the option for D-cannons, swords, or axe and shield. Is there a market for this out there? is it worth doing it again and selling for a profit? It took me about 4 hours all told.
Any thoughts from eldar players?

(Not sure if this is general or modeling, my apologies if I am wrong)

You can get work being hired to do commissions, however few people are wiling to pay just for assembly. They'd typically want assembly and painting all in one package. Remember its not just your hours, its also postage that they've got to pay for.

I've never really seen anyone offering assembly only work for basic stuff like magnets. I've seen LED/lighting set installations, but they tend to be far more involved and also rare (I would suspect those offering the service are also selling the LED kits and would likely make more off selling kits than actually doing work for people).

4 hours is a long time, perhaps in man-hours at min-wage getting close too if not more than the cost of the models themselves. At that point you're basically charging double for installing magnets. The market interested in that is going to be fairly small. Plus you have to work out if you really want to do this for just minimum wage; or for not much more than it.

Comission work I tend to see more commonly is painting which might also include assembly. That's a larger market since more typically the type of person who wants you to paint for them is looking to save time and skills; so offering them a larger package offering works for that market segment.

Thanks Overread. Good comments, good thoughts. I appreciate it. Magnetizing the shoulders of these took more than I thought it would. Drilling for magnet holes in the shoulders the trickiest. Probably not worth the time I would get for doing.
