It's a marvelous idea (pun intended) and I decided to do the same thing:



Summary: Suppressor SGT, Veteran SGT with Power Fist & Storm Shield, Reaver SGT, Primaris SGT with Thunder Hammer & Auspex, Eliminator SGT, Terminator SGT with dual Power Fists. Costs exactly 150 points. I used Space Wolves as they're the only list that let me do both a Vet with a Storm Shield and a Terminator with dual Power Fists. It was a fun little project and I'll get around to painting them sometime this summer.

Having done that, I asked myself, "Who is the natural enemy of the Avengers?"

Hydra, of course. And I'm fortunate that there are two such factions in the 40k universe: Hive Fleet Hydra and Alpha Legion ("Hydra Dominatus!"). Tyranids would be easy: make any roster and paint them appropriately. But I want the fun of customizing, and there's a nice symmetry in Avengers vs Hydra mirrored by Loyalists vs CSM.

So I'm doing an Alpha Legion Kill Team. Here's what I've got so far:



The roster is looking like:

(not built yet) Baron Zemo: Leader: Aspiring Champion, power sword & plasma pistol (see https://comicvine.gamespot.com/baron-helmut-zemo/4005-3278/ for images of him with a sword)

Red Skull: Combat: Berzerker Champion, power fist, plasma pistol & blue cube

Wolfgang vos Strucker: Heavy: Terminator Gunner, autocannon & power fist (inspired by this image: https://www1.pictures.zimbio.com/mp/3DloziwHAN8l.jpg)

Arnim Zola: Comms: Terminator of some sort with a camera on top, possibly a Gunner with a combi-melta (mostly because I've got one)

James Barnes: Possessed with a mechanical left arm

(unknown & not built): CSM Gunner with missile launcher


My question is: Who's that last villain?


I'm toying with calling him Hydra Supreme, but it just seems like I could do better / more appropriate. I looked at Madame Hydra played by a Callidus assassin, but my green stuff skills aren't up to doing nice hair and I'm not sure what role she'd play on the roster - the models has a pistol & sword and CSM's can't take either. An Aspiring Champion would fit, but you can only have 1 of those and then what role does Zemo play (or what does he become / who replaces him)?

What's your suggestion?

But shouldn't the Hulk guy have, like, a pair of powerfists or something?
