Hoping to get a list of alternate models I can use for a greater demon of slaanesh or a demon prince of slaanesh. The GW one has aspects of great, but I am not a fan of the half/half gender style (opinion of course) nor the ridiculous price tag. Please, if your suggestion includes blatant nudity or such, It isn't an option for me so I thank you for your time but do not need you to share it.

Is Slaanesh really the army for you, I wonder?

Maybe hunt down the previous model...

No argument on the spirit behind your post Crispy78. Really going for a noise marine army, but just wanted to see what my options are for some of the more specialized units. I wasn't under the impression a slaanesh army had to include a bunch of not safe for your local FLGS and the kids there (and no, not making any judgments etc, just being safe in puritanville...)

Off the top of my head I can't think of any - the problem is the 3rd parties tend to go more extreme than GW does in order to corner their own markets. So for Slaanesh they tend to end up very revealing and warped (rows of boobies and suchlike).

The older GW metal ones might suit your desires but they are a much smaller model than the new one and were never made in plastic (certainly in metal and I can't recall if they went finecast or not).

I've been basing one off a Mierce model, but that's a big chunk of resin from Mierce, so doubt very much that's a saving on GW. Also probably doesn't fit so well into a noise marine force, mine goes with Slaaneshi beaxtmen.

I can't think of anything right away that fits, you're probably looking at some conversion work. Are you looking for a techno-organic feel to tie it in further with marines, or just a demon?

I don't have a specific piece in mind, but maybe something like a 54mm or 75mm scale Greek statute? Going more for the classical/idealized beauty and less sexualization.

I prefer to buy from miniature manufacturers that *don't* support the overthrow of democracy.

Actually, Scarlet Rose has more of what I was thinking of. The scale is the issue. Reaper has a ton of models available and sure I could convert to be slaaneshi, but none are big enough. Seems 54mm or 72mm is what's needed. My issue is, I want the same style as the current one, but wearing robes or the like so she has a far more regal appearance.
Probably asking too much.

@ Overread: You are dead on. Found some great possibilities, but they are clearly aimed at the I want my slaaneshi stuff to be adult crowd (which is understandable). Meirce has a great sculpt, just a bit more stripper than I want. And Creature Caster really has some beautiful sculpts, again, one step farther than I'm interested in.

@Monkeytroll: That is a cool model!

I usually get around NSFW sculpts by filing off the oversize nips and painting a bikini top on. It works great for 25-28mm stuff, not sure how well it would work for larger scale models.

Honestly you could also do worse than a simple Minotaur style figure, since that's more of less what the original one looked like. Finding one the right scale, etc. would be a little tough.

The Ghorgon would probably work as it is more or less a bigger version of the old keeper of secrets.
Con: It lacks a Witstealer sword equivalent. (a spare daemon prince sword would probably work if you are concerned with wysiwyg)
Pro: It's less than half the price of the new keeper.

Ghorgon:

One aspect of Slaanesh is vanity. Lean hard into that angle. Think of a human that gets brought into daemonhood with a body that exemplifies male vanity. The model for The C'tan Deceiver with a different head could be a good starting point. Something human keeps the story straight forward, or some kind of beast head as cruel irony. Plus Slaanesh is all about those goat vibes.

Years ago my buddy used the 72mm Sophie miniature from Reaper as the base of a similar conversion. All he really did was file the nose off and give her greenstuff hair tentacles like the old Juan Diaz Daemonettes, and it fit in just great.

It is a somewhat specific ask, yes.

Best options I can think of are to start chopping one of these to fit:

Wow! Some brilliant ideas here!
That Ghorgon is great!
My Greenstuff skills are actually very good. I've been sculpting as an amateur for a long time. Arena Rex had the medusa which I've looked at, but she seems too small for a demon prince or more...maybe a sorcerer.
Those greek goddesses also look great and taking a look there now.
Thanks again people. Very wonky ask here and you are coming through.

Not a problem, but that Sophie miniature is pretty large since she is in 72mm scale. Not quite as big as a plastic Daemon Prince, but I wouldn't count that model out quite yet.

Sorry for the poor quality picture, only size comparison one I could quickly find on Google.

Mythic Battles Pntheon might be worth a look.

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.

If a slanesh daemon doesnt have tits i'm not interested you're better off with something square, like tau.

Edit: I added a picture of probably my favourite ever sculpt for any miniature. I planned on collecting these guys too but I'm going full on. Really no point collecting it if you're squeamish.

Pincer deamon looks fab. Loving the variety on display.

I think that so long as you pain anything in a more "spooky deamon off-skin colour" rather than "realistic flesh tone" I find that the models end up looking less obscene-pornography, and more otherworldly-deamon. More purple tones, less skin-tones, if you would.
