I tried asking this on /r/40klore, but no one had a definitive answer. I thought I would try here before I give up my search.

So the motto of House Taranis is "Honour thy Forge, Honour the Primus Ordinus." But what is the Primus Ordinus? A person? A creed? The original Knight template or suit?

I have tried researching it by reading articles related to the Mechanicus's "Quest for Knowledge" Dogma, the Holy Trinity of the Mechanicus (Machine God, Omnissiah, and Motive Force), and even ranks and sects within the Adeptus Mechanicus. None provided the answer. At this point I have run out of lines of inquiry. My research has hit a standstill. Do any of you happen to know what the Primus Ordinus is or to what it refers?

Sounds like shonky latin for ‘main weapon’. Suspect there’s no straight answer here.

Also, totally read the title as ‘honour thy fridge’.

Its probably High Gothic "pseudo-Latin" for "first engine", some term representing the ruler of House Taranis.
