Does anyone remember this?

I had a random memory the other day of when I had this tape as a kid. It was basically a bunch of trolls and goblins singing songs for kids. At the time I didnt realise it was GW, until I examined the tape when I got into warhammer as an older kid and saw the games workshop label.

Anyway, doing a bit of searching and I came across

https://tabletopbellhop.com/playing-tabletop-games/gw-troll-games/

Apparently it was a soundtrack for some kids games that GW made back in the 80s. The article makes a good point about the uproar about the new GW kids books.

Anyone still got any of these? would be cool to see. Wish I'd kept mine. I might try to find one on ebay.

Think my brother does. They’re pretty decent fun for what they are.

With Squelch, it’s akin to two colour dominos. You need to build your Squig Line as long as possible. The Squelch! comes in when someone draws the Troll!

There was also Oi! Dats My Leg, Chaos Raiders (I think that was it’s name) and Trolls in the Pantry.

Oh dear. The songs are on YouTube.

Look, it’s still better than anything in the charts at the moment.

I remember Trolls in the Pantry. The past was weird.

The link to whatever they're saying about the Warhammer Adventures series doesn't appear to lead anywhere useful.
The obvious difference between the Trolls games and Warhammer Adventures though, is that Oi Dats My Leg wasn't actually set in the Warhammer Fantasy universe. Whereas Warhammer Adventures is set in the 40K universe, and so now we're stuck with children outrunning genestealers, pre-teen humans piloting Tau battlesuits, Doom Scythes blowing up entire planets, Tau capitol ships being crippled by unauthorised uploads of Excel spreadsheets, and grav guns floating off into the air when they run out of batteries.
The complaint with the Adventures series was never 'hurp derp GW shouldn't make products for children', but that making the setting suitable for an audience of young children would most likely result in it being damaged - which it totally has been. (...and who knows what will happen when Zelia takes the fight to the Ketatrix..? I dread to think...)

Well I'm not sure about the new kids books. my little girl is too young for them at the minute, but I dont think they need to be taken too seriously. if they get kids into the hobby, then they move onto the more mature stuff, then thats good surely?

Damn, the games are a bit pricey on ebay. £125 for Oi dats my leg, but that comes with the cassette, so I may purchase for nostalgia.

copies of squelch for 40 (missing 3 cards) and 80(no cassette)

I was wondering if my little girl would like them in a year or 2.
