Well met, Long-time hobby absentee here, throwing a 2+ save hat into the ring: Black Templars - 1491pts - 7CP - Battleforged +3CP - Battalion +5CP - Vanguard +1CP - Relics of the Chapter -1CP - Hero of the Chapter -1CP Captain in Cataphractii Armour - 108pts - Warlord - Frontline Commander - Power Fist, Power Sword -> Sword of Judgement Chaplain in Terminator Armour - 92pts - Epitome of Piety - Litany of Hate, Canticle of Hate - Storm Bolter Primaris Lieutenant - 70pts - Master-crafted Stalker Bolt Rifle - Witchseeker Bolts 5 Intercessors - 99pts - Auto Bolt Rifles - Power Fist 5 Intercessors - 99pts - Auto Bolt Rifles - Power Fist 5 Intercessors - 85pts - Stalker Bolt Rifles Invictor Warsuit - 131pts - Incendium Cannon Invictor Warsuit - 131pts - Incendium Cannon 5 Cataphractii Terminators - 173pts - Sergeant: Power Fist, Combi-Bolter, Grenade Harness - 4x Terminators: Lightning Claw, Combi-Bolter 5 Cataphractii Terminators - 173pts - Sergeant: Power Fist, Combi-Bolter, Grenade Harness - 4x Terminators: Lightning Claw, Combi-Bolter 5 Tartaros Terminators - 165pts - Sergeant: Power Sword, Combi-Bolter, Grenade Harness - 4x Terminators: Power Fist, Combi-Bolter 5 Tartaros Terminators - 165pts - Sergeant: Power Sword, Combi-Bolter, Grenade Harness - 4x Terminators: Power Fist, Combi-Bolter Rough plan: Lieutenant and Stalker Intercessors will sit backfield - Lieutenant will snipe psykers (D3 mortal wounds on top of a Damage 3, Ap2 shot!), Intercessors will seek other targets of opportunity. 2x Auto Intercessor squads will move up aggressively - the enemy will soon have bigger fish to fry so I envisage they will be able to go after objectives, softening up units with shooting before closing in to assault. 2x Invictors are red herrings to try and break up the enemy formation and start applying the pressure. Any chaos they cause is a bonus. Turn 2 is when it all changes. 80 Combi-bolter and 4D6 Grenade Harness shots will land just in time for Tactical Doctrine. How the squads are distributed will depend on the opponent, but it will be split up into two groups. The group with the Captain will be making sure of a charge from deep strike with Frontline Commander and BT re-rolls. The group with the Chaplain (who can Deny the Witch and does so with +1) will potentially make use of Devout Push shenanigans, with out of sequence 6" pile-ins provided the Canticle goes off. Combat with any of these squads will be nasty, and I will make sure to lineup the Tartaros against vehicles and the Cataphractii against hordes. Will the Emperor be pleased with such senseless carnage?
