I currently have a Beasts of Chaos army that I've used as Khorne and Tzeentch with some fun combos and results. Looking at trying out Nurgle with them; I have:

3 Doombulls
1 Shaman
1 Beastlord
3x10/30 Gors
2x10/20 Bestigors (looking at getting another unit of 10)
3x3 axe/shield Bullgors
3x3 greataxe Bullgors

Anyone tried out the Pestilent Throng in a Nurgle army? What would be good Nurgle units to add to this mix and get more use of my old school all metal Beasts of Chaos? With Khorne Brass Despoilers I use min-max to take advantage of the reroll hits of 1. With Tzeentch I found bigger units are best to take advantage of the Fatemaster rerolls and Destiny Dice for charges. I don't have the Nurgle Battletome yet, and I don't have the Wrath of the Everchosen which I gather has some new Nurgle subfactions in it?

Oh, I do have a Nurgle Herald if that's helpful (the old Chaos Toilet model). However I could give him big legs to make a Daemon Prince if that's a helpful idea

Hm, Pestilent Thong really lends itself more to msu ungors exploding on death and the lineup you have is not what I would normally recommend. However with that many minotaurs you do have strong offense which is something Nurgle usually lacks, and the allegiance can lend you extra speed. I will say you will want to pick up the Everchosen book as for Nurgle it is more or less free buffs (which the allegiance needs, as power creep has left it behind).

But the best thing I could say is to take a GUO with bell to give those units +3" of movement, it provides magical support you also need, and is generally a super tough unit which compliments your offensive lineup well. Plus you can give it the Witherstave, which remains among the best artifacts in the game. Or Endless Gift if you want to troll people.

Thank you! I've been hankering for a reason to get a GUO. Perhaps some Ungors are in order too, as they're good for summoning in regular BoC or for getting primordial call points.

The Everchosen book is appealing for the Baleful Lords and Belakor's Legion too.

Another thought, will Nurgle be getting a revised Battletome anytime this year? Khorne and Tzeentch did, Slaanesh of course all new, but ol' Nurgle lacks endless spells. Guess the GHB 2020 might change things up a bit too.

I suspect that if Nurgle was getting a battletome this year they would not have gotten so much in the Everchosen book. Plus with a new edition of 40k, and Lumineth, and Sons of Behemat, and the likely Space Marine & Necron codex releases GW's release schedule is close to full already. I could easily be wrong, but I would not bet on a new battletome soon.

If you are playing out of the Nurgle Book, Centigors are amazing. You can get +1 to hit on them anyturn you want making them easier to deal MW bombs with spells.
