Hi everyone
i play miniature since a lot of times, and while i have no real place for a standard table i mostly goes to my friend's house (and until few years ago in private gaming club and/or FLGS)
So in the year i have accumulated also some nice cases for miniature transportation.

I have mainly KR Cases and Feldherr in various size, with various different foam slot.
But everyone is made for transport "single model" or in some situation "one single very big model". Nothing that goes good with "multibasing" KoW concept...

I had to struggle to store a single regiment of light infantry and one hydra. Even the "Rhino/Predator slot" was'nt big enough. And in the future i plan 3 or more large infantry and a couple large cavalry horde to be slotted...

so my main question is: how did you store/transport your multibased miniatures? did you have some special cases (or some special configuration of feldherr/kr cases i failed to found on their sites) to suggest?

or did you use other not-foam-protected solution? (ie magnetising the bases to a big box with metal sheet on the bottom, or other genial solution i fail to think right now )

As always, thanks for your kindly reply :-)

This, steel plus REE magnets are the most serious.
For lighter use and car travel, I lined my box (a shallow plastic tub, from a packaging shop or Wal-Mart) with magnetic sheet and stuck strips of magnetic sheet to the bottom of my multi bases.
Washers under individual model based though.

there are companies selling standard plastic boxes with metal or foam inliner that let you transport whole units and/or big monsters standing upright

you can also turn a toolbox into something like that
or build it from scratch

I build a wooden box ~15 years ago

while a more modern solution is to take an ikea metal office case and put it in a bag

Thanks for your advices
i could have a suitable old plastic toolbox, i just need to add magnetic/metallic sheet on them and then buy more magnet (i have some very strong neodimium but they are probably REALLY strong and also too thick...)

Just need to be careful not to detach magnet from polystyrene bases when playing the game (i guess i will need some movement tray/polystyrene base combo for it)

the ikea metal office case is a good idea too :-D

If your minis are all plastic, it can be as simple as fixing them to the bottom of a shoebox with a loop of masking tape and it'll hold for several trips even with unattaching and reattaching for games. For easier access you can put them in the lid.

In the end, i bought a plastic toolbox and some iron piace, then used magnetic sheet to hold them

This is the result

the box is actually on his side
