I’m sure this has been asked but I can’t find it anywhere.

The mini omega symbols for Ultramarines. Can somebody confirm that they go on the centre of the backpacks?
I also can’t find any reference to where the campaign badges go, if someone could point me to the placement for those too please?

It doesn’t say, but I assumed that the little ultima symbols go on the backpack, yes.

The campaign badges normally go on the knee.

I've never seen them on the back pack, shoulder and knee are the usual places.

Thanks, I did wonder about the knees but couldn’t find any outside of the Sgts, or officers that had knee adornment.

The thing that lead me to think backpack was firstly the number on the decal sheet, I.e enough for every marine. The Captain is shown in one of the pictures with the symbol on his, albeit oversized, backpack, and none of the standard marines are shown with knee adornment.

If you mean on Primaris marines, it can go on the backpack. You can see it there on the non-Sgt Primaris Intercessor 360 viewer on GWs website. I didn't see it at all on the normal marine Tactical squad. Honestly though, you can put it wherever you like.

you don't have to put all the decals if you don't want to. it's really up to you.
also, to make the decals stick better on curved surfaces like the shoulder pads, i use microset & microsol. i found my latest bottles on ebay.

Check out my gallery here
Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

Thanks yeah I wasn’t too concerned I just didn’t want to place them and then find I had missed a trick. I am only painting for the fun of the hobby, I’m not playing the game so there won’t be any judgemental eyes on them.
I just broke all the rules when building my Space Wolves and pretty much abandoned the plain shoulders that should have the wolf insignia in favour of using the whole gambit of nice adorned ones that come with that set.

I do think the decals set them off nicely, especially ultras look unfinished without them and the pop of red skull on the sgts really help set off the helmet colour some other chapters I am doing may not have any applied. I
started with the Humbrol stuff which is like the two sol products in one and almost impossible to use. It softens it to the point it’s like trying to apply a tiny piece of melting jelly.
The Sol products are superb and I use the “how I paint things” method of sitting the decals on wet tissue to float them off and using a brush to lift and place them. So much easier than my earlier attempts with Humbrol and tweezers.
