Hmm the zoat is out but I a BSF box so if you want more than one in your army you have to buy multiple boxes and I don’t even play BSF. Anyone heard of there are plans to just release the model?

None at present so far as I’m aware.
However, I guess that largely depends how long BSF remains in print once the final expansion is out.
If we see a successor game, it may not be that long?

Considering it only has tokens and cards in the pack chances are the price wouldn't be too much lower without them from GW. So its £37.50 now - without the cards it might only be £35. That's about the price difference we see between card and model and only model sets for the Underworlds warbands in AoS.

Is it a fairly big model then? I haven’t seen it against an SM for example

GW website says he comes with a 50mm base, and he’s not shy about filling it.

There does seem to be quite a high charge for the cardboard and develoment effort for Blackstone products.
https://www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/Blackstone-Fortress-No-Respite-EN-2020
6 Poxwalkers, 3 Plague Marines, some cardboard = £37.50.
https://www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/40k-first-strike-2017-ENG
6 Poxwalkers, 3 Plague Marines, 3 Intercessors, 3 Reivers = £25.
£25 for the Zoat on its own would be reasonable for GW.

Worth bearing in mind though that First Strike wont be around much longer, as its packaged with 8e core rules.

Cheaper alternative: Buy a Zoat 20 years ago for $8.

A few of the BSF models have made it to production, the Cultists of the Abyss (7 chaos cultists, for a unit that comes in 10 ) and Servants of the Abyss (mixtape of BSF badguys, including 7 more chaos cultists ).
But not the heroes which I think would be much more interesting. So my feeling is no, the Zoat will not come out on its own.

Given that the Zoat is a named character, isn't it a 0-1 choice anyway?

Knightmare Minis in Spain make a very nice Reptile Centaur in their Space Raiders range. Cost is €12.99, model is metal and they happen to make some other "classics" from the Rogue Trader days.
