Expensive but not unusual.

On the UK Ebay there's a store in German that lists almost everything GW for sale - always at inflated prices even compared to GW's own prices on products and that's before adding shipping. I still never get why that store bothers listing them if its some kind of quirk on shipping/exchange rates that results in it.

Barring the Corona shortage I doubt they make/made any sales worth even the listings. And yet they do and keep listing and I'm sure make the odd sale when there's nothing else of a particular model left in stock for a short while.

That's actually worse than the white lions I've just been looking at.

Between availability and gouging, I've almost given up on ebay for this stuff. I'm waiting on an IoB elf mage and consider myself lucky to be paying single digits for it.

Honestly I think it's more renewed interest with GW's announcement on returning to the Old World that has driven prices up. Before that you were able to get good deals on while armies, especially if it was stuff that didn't fit into AoS. This time last year you could pick up crazy good deals. GW made that "Everything comes round again, even squares" post in November and it was a steady increase ever since, COVID-19 was just the tipping point.

Be patient, that which is expensive from someone will be cheaper from another. Not everyone is a gouger; they prey on the impatient and greedy. I have everything I wanted over time by waiting for the right opportunity.
