I'm currently working on an IG Thunderbolt fighter and am looking ahead to magnetising the wings for wargear; the choice being Hellstrike and Skystrike missiles or tactical bombs.

The issue I have is there is no wargear included in the kit and therefore I'm looking to improvise or find an alternate supplier of decent stand-ins. Having done a cursory internet search, I found a possible stand-in for Hellstrike missiles but not the others, I was just wondering if anybody had suggestions for any of the aerial wargear and their mounts.

Not the end of the world at all if there isn't. I'm fairly certain I could kitbash some of the options using the many hunter killer missiles and spare rockets from heavy weapon squads, it would just be a question of how to suitably mount them to the wings.

There should be 1:54 scale aerial weapon sprues you can pick up for modern or historical aircraft. And also should come with the relevant pylons.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Ah, really good point. Kicking myself that I hadn't thought of that!

Certainly 1:48 scale conventional aircraft munitions are available in kit form. These aren't oversized for 40k.
(Aircraft scaling for models changes when they get larger than 1:48. Where ground vehicles will use 1:35, aircraft use 1:32, then it goes to 1:24, 1:16).
Missiles, bombs, recon/gun pods are all covered and usually in separate sets (missiles in one, EW pods in another, bombs sometimes in a third).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.
