Coming back from a nice break of playing Warhammer and 8th and I'm jumping right into 9th edition.

**NOTE. I realized that Eradicators can't go into Impulsors to late. Scrapping this list! Already apologized to my opponent on that**

Battalion

HQ:

Captain on Bike - Axe of Medusa, Storm Shield (Warlord)
Primaris Lieutenant - Stalker Bolt Rife
Iron Father Ferrios

TROOPS:
Intercessors (10) - Bolt Rifles, Power Fist
Intercessors (10) - Bolt Rifles, Power Fist
Intercessors (5) - Bolt Rifles, Chainsword

ELITES:
Primaris Apothecary
Aggressors (5) - Boltstorm Gauntlets, Fragstorm Grenade Launchers
Judicair

FAST ATTACK:
Outriders
Outriders

HEAVY SUPPORT:
Eradicators
Eradicators

DEDICATED TRANSPORTS:
Impulsor - Shield Dome
Impulsor - Shield Dome

General Tactics:

-Castle up for a turn or two with Ferrios and Apothecary before breaking onto objectives
-Outriders and Captain will dash around taking backfield objectives and harassing odd units
-Impulsors will have the Eradicators move to high armor targets

Thoughts and concerns?

It's my first list and I'm having trouble fitting in all the goodies I normally ran

Few questions for IH lists.
Executioners are a no go now?
How have Dev Cents been playing for everyone?

So managed to squeeze in a game this weekend against my roommate who played Imperial Guard parking lot.

This was our second game of 9th so there was probably plenty of mistakes made.

Mission: Scorched Earth

His list from Memory:
Spoiler:

Catachan

Leman Russ - Battlecannon
Leman Russ - Plasmas
10x Guardsman
10x Guardsman
10x Guardsman
Hellhound
Manticore
Manticore
Basalisk
Vendaetta
A number of scions
Tauroxs (maybe 3?)

The game went well in my favor maxing out on primary and would have maxed out on secondaries if we continued. Overall I only lost an Eradicator squad, two bikes, and a couple of Intercessors from the 10 man. The list is survivable, but I am very uneasy about large squads since blast weapons hurt. I am considering running four 5 man Intercessors squads to help mitigate that issue and throwing in some other unit to help with armor.

I make bad decisions and think they are good.

I think you have the right idea.

My only concern is if you face a cc oriented army. How would you deal with that ?

Venerable and Contemptor Dreadnoughts would be helpful I think.

True. The only really CC unit I have is the captain. I found the Outriders can do some work in combat but that isn't where they shine.

I could ditch the Impulsors for some dreads to help in that area.

Impulsors cannot carry anything in Gravis Armor. So I think your Eradicators cannot ride inside. If you want your Eradicators to be un-harmed before they get to fire their first volley, outflank them via reserve.

Still, you might use your Impulsor to rush a squad of the Intercessors to the mid-field objective early on to raise the banner high. Then charge the empty Impulsor into enemy ranks to engage multiple enemy units to stop them from doing anything other than chop your T7 4++/6+++ tank up. You can just wait for them chop the impulsor dead. iirc, when Impulsor explode, it do D6 MW to surroundings, by then it had done a good job for you.

Correct. I realized after the fact that Gravis armor can't go in Impulsors. I could outflank them, but my opponent can position their targets well enough to make them not worth while? I'll have to do some more play testing with Impulsors but for the time it seem unlikely to get my hands on them for now.

I do have a 1000 point tournament coming up in September, but that's another matter.
