Decided to take the plunge on a made to order Indomitus box with a friend who also wants to get in to 40k (we're both long time AoS/WFB players). When it finally arrives, I really want to start a Blood Angels army and was wondering if the upgrade packs will be compatible with the easy build intercessors? Also has anybody got any tips on how to make all of them look 'Blood Angelsy'??

Welcome to Dakka and 40k.

I doubt the upgrade pack will be much use. Almost all the shoulder pads are part of the arms, so would require some major carving to get off. That said, I put an Ultra one on the chaplain, as his was simple to swap.

Head swaps are easy, and the little trinkets would still work.

Honestly, I think they would be fine with just a red paint job. There are BA transfers in the box. If you wanted to spice them up a bit, you could get some of the specific BA kits and poach bits to make them a little more fancy. But the ETB nature of the models in the box is going to make it difficult to do more than just add extras.

Yeh, those EtB Primaris are a PITA to convert for custom chapter shoulderpads. Not worth it IMO unless you enjoy the challenge.

Which is why I'm waiting for the multipart kit myself
