So here goes... This is a shot in the dark sort of affair. When I was a child, during a vacation stay with my grandparents, they gave me this miniatures box set or playset to keep me busy. This would have been around 1988 or so. I don't remember anything about its name or branding, I don't think it was tied to any particular IP or game. Random details I remember:
It was a box containing at least a dozen or so plastic miniatures, requiring assembly (with glue) and painting. It also had this one-piece chunk of terrain: a half-clamshell mold of thin plastic with some landscape features on it. Rocks, a stream, etc.
The minis included some dwarves with spears, a big spider, and an assortment of other critters. Probably some archers and some goblin/orc kind of things.
It didn't come with any sort of dice or rules or things, I don't think it was meant to be a boardgame or mini wargame. More of a fantasy themed model playset.
I wondered if this rang a bell with anyone else. It's a specific enough memory that it irks me that I don't know what it was. I don't know if it's some piece of cheap generic junk that's lost to time, or if it was part of some product line or property that I was oblivious to back then.
