In either case, you need more bodies. Capture and hold is the name of the game in 9th. Bloodletters are glass cannons. I'm personally fielding 75-90 in a game. Bloodcrushers are great durable bodies that can bully stuff. Giant Spawn seem like they're swingy at best. But I'd still give it a go. See how it works. I'm going to be trying the Soul Grinder with 2 skull cannons. Skaarbrand is killy as heck, but I think he's overcosted. I'd suggest a daemon prince in his place instead.

Is for a friendly league who become ultra greasy competitive and that list if for phase two when we can change the list... if I want to have fun, I need a list I will enjoy and if needed, add a Iron Warriors detachment

I mean, it'll be fine if you can make some of the changes I suggested. I wouldn't add a CSM detachment as that costs you CP. Although that depends on how many SM players there are. If there is a lot and you can't beef up the bloodletters, you're probably gonna have to soup in CSM. Agressors and Intercessors will shred those tiny units without breaking a sweat.
