A friend and I were wondering about
AM and hordes of infantry when we read that leman russ tanks in a spearhead gain obsec so can take objectives. This got us thinking about the meta and potential for the fabled leman to make its mark. All together there are 81 heavy bolters shots that will gain dmg2 soon to help with hordes and primaris spam. 10x2d6 battle cannon shots rerolling 1s (Cadia) once they gain positions over objectives. T8 chassis with 3+ armour is not bad at a minimum. The characters have master mechanic to reduce damage and can issue orders. With the cadian relic to improve a round of shooting, overlapping fire for a specific target, hail of fire for extra shots. 2 tanks sit on home objectives, a Commander and 2 more tanks for 2 groups of 3 tanks spread to outer objectives leaving 1 tank on middle objectives Commander's responding to major threats. Not great but not bad, what could be better?
