I'm trying to get back into warhammer and painting again. I have a bunch of Dark Angel Deathwing, half I already painted 6-7 years ago and half I still have to paint - but I don't have the citadel colours that I used before. What I do have is the Vallejo Basic USA Colors Paint Set. I was looking for advice to mix some of those paints together to get close to the bone colour that the DW use.
A basic bone colour could be mixed with a brown, a yellow and a white. Best best is to just experiment with the colours you have until you find something that works.
Thanks for the advice - I was hoping to use my existing paint set from gunpla to do it. I wanted to try getting back into it (haven't played since college) without spending any money since I'm not sure if it'll stick.
The trouble with mixing paints is getting a consistent color from one painting session to the next. While that's not a problem with one-off models it's not ideal for an army with multiple models.
