I'm taking the plunge into Marines again and I love me some BT. Watched a few good videos on youtube which I'll post below. Basically I'm using all Primaris, mostly from the Indomitus boxset, with a couple of Impulsors and Invictor warsuits. Also two 5 man squads of incursors as well. It all rounds out to roughly 2000 points and was quite powerful in my only game so far this edition against GK. Had lots of units to grab objectives and have solid board control, with powerful frontline and rear guard troops.
My current list is the following
Spoiler:
++ Battalion Detachment 0CP (Imperium - Adeptus Astartes - Black Templars) [96 PL, 1,997pts, 10CP] ++
+ Configuration +
Battle Size [12CP]: 3. Strike Force (101-200 Total PL / 1001-2000 Points)
Detachment CP
+ Stratagems +
Crusader Relics [-1CP]
+ HQ +
Primaris Captain (Indomitus) [5 PL, 105pts]: Paragon of Fury, The Vox Espiritum, Warlord
Primaris Chaplain [5 PL, 85pts, -1CP]: 4. Mantra of Strength, 6. Canticle of Hate, Fortress of Resolve, Litany of Hate, Stratagem: Master of Sanctity, The Aurillian Shroud
Impulsor [7 PL, 136pts]: 2x Storm Bolters, Ironhail Heavy Stubber, Shield Dome
Impulsor [7 PL, 136pts]: 2x Storm Bolters, Ironhail Heavy Stubber, Shield Dome
++ Total: [96 PL, 10CP, 1,997pts] ++
Pretty happy with it so far, it syncs well with BT chapter tactics and allows you to be in the enemys face turn 1 with some pretty scary units. You could possibly pull off a first turn charge with bladeguard coming out of an advancing impulsor, and combine it with devout push to consolidate into an enemy unit.
Implausible nature has some good content so far.
Much advice is uncertain atm though, with the new codex looming.
What i'd recommend is always bringing a Master of Sanctity and make him hero of the chapter with Wise Orator. Sure a 3+ is pretty reliable, but to make sure you get your litanies in a crucial moment, the reroll is gold, especially since we don't get to CP reroll any dice anymore. My preferred litany is divine protection (for a single large footslogging unit, like 10 Assaultintercessors or 20 crusaders).
If you run a large unit of bladeguard an ancient might go q long way, especially with a crusaders helm to get assault doctrine and the auras if you devout push into melee, as you'll miss out on shock assault.
