So this is my first 2000 point army that I actually have the models for. Please ignore the March for Macragge on the Chaplain, that’s part of Battle Scribe I couldn’t get around. He doesn’t actually have that. The chapter is called the Swords Resplendent and are actually based on Fulgrim’s Gene seed, hence why I based the chapter tactics on how the Emperor’s Children fought before the heresy.

The army looks rather standard, maybe specializing your troops more?

Then again, this could just be the angst from having Iron Hands dreadnoughts shoved down my throat for the last seven months talking.

The army looks like it will pretty much preform well with a wide range of opponents. But the moment you run across someone with a build that will just chew through primaris. You'll probably have their elites marching up your back line, or punching a hole straight up the middle of the field.

Do you intend to bubble wrap your Invictors, or use their concealed positions rule?

One has to wonder. Do the Tyranids consider drop-assault troops... fast food?

I am probably gonna try bubble wrapping them. I know most of my units have concealed positions but in my experience they tend to get cut off and overwhelmed when I use that rule. So I’m gonna try a mechanized advance to the objectives next time.

If your not using consealed positions id recommend going 2 squads of standard intercessors as your taking transportation pop thunderhammer on Sargent's and use repulsor to fly them up the board

I'd also consider swapping the last squad of incursor out for infiltrators with the Comms so they count as being near the captian/LT

One other thing to think about rather than 3 big squads perhaps 6 squads of 5 will be better, you don't have morale or blast issues and will be able to spread for board control a little easier

Funny enough while building the last Incursor squad I noticed they hadn’t included the bases for the haywire mine, so I went ahead and made an Infiltrator squad with coms instead. I like having concealed positions as an option but also transports for other situations.

At this point it's mostly going to be a choice that's made on what your standard is going to be. Either having the power that the higher strength squads allowed you, or the safety you're allowed in larger number.

I'm used to running elites armies with low model counts. So it's still mostly going to comedown to preference in the end.

One has to wonder. Do the Tyranids consider drop-assault troops... fast food?
