Any Infinity players on dakka here have an opinion on the Ramah Task Force sectorial?

I'm basically building 2 small armies to have in my case and for display. I wanted a sectorial with my favorite tag, the Maghariba Guard. How is this sectorial doing in N4? I didn't play much Haqq in N3 so I don't have much frame of reference to go on, but I did play MRRF.

Hi.
The theme with Haqqislam is that they have always been a faction with plenty of Light Infantry and lots of tricks.

So, they do not usually have elite Heavy Infantry that outshines the rest of the factions.
Their playstyle hasn't ever been using TAGs or revolving around a particular super-guy. Haqq usually allow the player to deploy more guys than your rival and all of them had a very useful bag of tricks.
It's pretty common with Haqq that after the batle ends you realise that one of your guys had some skill you forgot about, because everybody has something.(Unlike, for example, PanO, who has Super Units and then the rest of the guys who are just there.)

Of course, the exception to the rule here is Tarik Mansuri, specially in Ramah Taskforce.

The thing now with N4 and the tactical window is that Haqqislam has to consider making 15 unit army lists and that totallly screws what Haqqislam has been after all these years.

So, You wanna build an army around the Maghariba Guard? This is the moment because the N4 context is moving towards that kind of stuff.

Ramah is in weird place right now. They are more glass cannon with some excellent 'Rambo' pieces like the Mukhtar, Tarik, & Namurr making it good in the active turn, but no midfield presence and limited hacking for AROs can make it tougher than other armies have it in the reactive turn. Another weakness is playing against smoke. MSV lvl1 or lvl 2 is only on a few pieces and they are quite expensive. IMO it's definitely easier to build a list with Hassassin.

Specifically to the Maghariba Guard (or Maggy), you are going to be filling out the rest of the list with squishy Ghulams and other cheap troops just make it work with most of your offense in Maggy which is not that difficult for most armies to destroy. I've actually found it easier to build around Maggy in Dashat.

The reason this is a problem is that a lot of the popular factions in N4 will be fielding HI link teams, mass infiltrators/minelayers (or both); and Ghulams and flash pulse bots just don't hold up very well to all that.

That being said, the mine dispenser version of Maggy is really fun to play.

I play:
40K: Daemons, Tau
AoS: Blades of Khorne, Disciples of Tzeentch
Warmachine: Convergence of Cyriss
Infinity: Haqqislam, Tohaa
Malifaux: Bayou
Star Wars Legion: Republic & Separatists
MESBG: Far Harad, Misty Mountains
