Got the itch the other day to make an Enslaver mini for 40k, pretty much as a display piece; but you never know... Was mainly inspired by official art, certain Google images, most notably on self sculpted by Jason Hendricks (it's on Pintrest so no point in linking it here, but search 40k Enslaver conversion and it pops up), various things in the back of my mind and after building it probably the Quintessons from Transformers given it's appearance.

Whole thing is mainly made from parts from a Tyranid Sporocyst body; whose bits I got cheaply from a bits site, a Reaper Bones Dark Young's mouthparts, green stuff and other odds and sods. The guy at the front is made from Festus' victim with rebuilt robes and other bits. The head is the severed head from the old Malus Darkblade mini, I found it in my bits box and it has this perfect expression of terror and awe on it.

On with the pics...

Scale shot next to a Blightlord Termie.

WIP shot of it (back when I decided to give it arms. Ultimately decided against that).

And a bonus of all of the minor 40k Xenos conversions I've made with the Rak'Gol on the left and some Umbra on the right.

I dig it.

Enslavers have always intrigued me as a concept. Lore wise. Not quite daemon but hangs out in the warp. whats not to like!

That's really nicely done. Cool conversion and painting, and I like the unfortunate psyker too!

Loving the others xenos, this is the kind of stuff makes me love the hobby.

Very cool, kind of reminds me of the brain bug in Starship Troops when she sucks the brain out. Having some little bugs or creatures/minions around it may bring out the aesthetic more.
