Hi all,
I've got a game coming up against Deathwatch and my opponent has said he'd like to face my
GSC - so far so narrative. We're not playing the 9th missions - too complicated - so we're probably running an 8th eternal war mission.
I've concocted the following list to counter him - aberrants starting in the Goliath truck, bullgryns and priest in the chimera - as I don't expect him to bring much anti-tank so these should hold up T1 at least.
They drive forward to deliver the abbs and bulls, meanwhile I bring on an acolyte bomb a turn with Perfect Ambush supported by Primus/Magus to take down priority targets, and to give him other things to deal with so the truck and chimera makes it to their target. Patriarch lurks behind the screen of broodbrothers to give fearless and to countercharge vanguard vets.
Would welcome all thoughts and criticism - I usually run Bladed Cog but wanted to run something different this time.
On a side note, does anyone have any ideas on how to effectively run Pauper Princes? I like the idea of flamer acolytes firing when they die, but that's a gimmick not an army...
