This is my first crack at a 2000pt 9th ed list and using the new codex. Figured Salamanders better match the units I own and are strong, so would go with them. I'm trying to build a toolbox list, but sometimes I lose the line between toolboxy and just a mishmash of unfocused stuff.

Captain on bike - Teeth of Terra
Primaris Chaplain - Master of Sanctity

5x Assault Intercessors - fist
5x Intercessors - rifles, fist
10x Intercessors - rifles, fist
5x Infiltrators - helix

Primaris Apothecary - Chief, Selfless Healer
5x Aggressors w/ boltstorms
3x Aggressors w/ flamers
Venerable Dreadnought - multi-melta
Venerable Dreadnought - multi-melta

3x Outriders
Attack Bike - multi-melta
Attack Bike - multi-melta

3x Eradicators

Impulsor - shield dome

Total: ~2100pts, I need to cut about 100pts, but waiting on FAQ for correct upgrade costs

That gives me the WW and either Intercessors or Infiltrators to camp my back objective as needed; the big blocks of guys, the characters, and the dreads to hold the center; and then the bikes and Impulsor squad to push up.
Think it works? What would you cut?

Couple notes:
I didn't go heavy Eradicators since I only own 3 and on the assumption that by the time I had more they will be nerfed somehow.
I don't think the Venerables are especially good for their cost, I really only want 1 to supply Wisdom of the Ancients, but just 1 alone would die too fast.
The bolt Aggressors don't seem ideal anymore, but I have 10 painted and 0 flame ones at the moment, so I kinda want to use them...I was also thinking maybe Terminators here, which I also own.
The Whirlwind is probably the easiest cut to make being the right cost and least critical to any section. But dang it, I've owned this thing for 25 years, it finally has a niche stratagem, eventually I want to use it

Oh dang, the Relic Contemptor. Maybe not really worth relying on it with the upcoming FW overhaul, but that'd be way better than a Venerable. (...Or is it? I guess it doesn't have Duty Eternal because it's not updated yet).

If I remove the 2 Venerables and replace with 1 Relic Contemptor I'm cutting almost the entire 100pts I needed.

I was theoryhammering about the choice between terminators and aggressors. It seems likely in a tournament or all-comers setting that nearly every space marine army will have one or maybe two units of eradicators,

So I'm suspecting that probably terminators are better.

They don't have the firepower of aggressors, but when you think about what even 3 eradicators would do to an aggressor unit, in spite of cover, and how impossible it is to keep them far enough from the edge that eradicators wouldn't get a shot...

At least terminators would get an invulnerable save, and a pretty decent one if they're TH & SS terminators.

For sure. I'm strongly considering 5-6 assault termies in that slot, I just have a hard time giving up shooting.

My original list draft had a Librarian to supply the Aggressor blob with 5++ too and I regret having to remove it, but it did seem like the easiest cut.
