So I was wondering about primaris helblasters. I got my hand of some from the 8th edition base sett.

How do you see the differense on the plasma wepaons? Scope = assualt verison. Vire to the backpack = heavy option?

If I assemble them it would be in the form of the heavy version. How do I convert that? Could I just give them a longer barrel, or would I need some form of wirering?

The DI monopose ones are the rapid fire guns.

You are correct about the different flavors. To make the heavy version, you probably want to add some sort of cable to an extra power supply. Or some other visual cue that they pack more of a punch then the regular ones. As with any counts-as conversion, the Rule of Cool covers a lot of sins, but check with your opponent/TO if you plan on bringing them to any structured event.
