Hey, so I made this account primarily to ask, because for the life of me I can't find this anywhere online (and if there is interest, I'll probably make a blog or whatever to chronicle this). I was thinking of making a unified Aelven army, that is to say grabbing everything what is a knife ear in AoS (and the sylvaneth because I've a load of them lying around unpainted), and giving them a nice unified colour scheme, potentially coming up with some fancy fluff to justify it (and an inevitably large amount of kitbashing and other such shenanigans later on).

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for schemes that will tend to look decent across the range. That is to say Idoneth, Sylvaneth, Lumineth, Daughters of Khaine, as well as the High Elf and Dark Elf models, hoping that GW doesn't squat them.

Keep it simple when you are going across sutch a diverse range.
Find one aspect of the model that every single model has, and paint it the same colour across all the models and then do the rest of the model suitable to its design.

Easiest example of this is prolly cloth, since i think every elf model has some part of it that is visual cloth texture.( sorta running under a unifyed banner rather then armor scheme) So use either white, green, blue, yellow or red(base tone, not light or dark), and do the base in the same style across all models.
