Kickstarter is live for the updated version of Nova Aetas, a great tactical miniatures board game set in a fantasy renaissance Italy.

38mm scale? That would make these figures well...not compatible with most other stuff, right?

I played through a full campaign of the original version of Nova Aetas, and had a lot of fun. If you want to read about that you can check it out here: http://adventuresinminiaturegaming.blogspot.com/p/nova-aetas.html

It seems like the campaign in Nova Aetas: Renaissance is totally new. The rules are updated a little, and it seems like the missions in particular are a lot more interesting, with hidden information in a card deck and branching paths within the mission. And again there are several possible paths and endings to the campaign, and different hunts and side missions, so it should have a lot of replayability.

Well, they wouldn't be particularly useful for Age of Sigmar or to mix with 28mm historicals. Here's a shot with some other figures:

Looks like both the scale and aesthetics would mix well with Conquest: the Last Argument of Kings.

Conquest was my first thought as well. Perfect fit for the Hundred Kingdoms.

Especially with the First Blood skirmish rules released for free now!

Plus the Hyperion model and a few other bits are going to be usable in Black Rose Wars, if you own that.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Watch and listen to me ramble about these minis before ruining them with paint!

Did check this title on BGG, some great minis there. The walking mop is pure awesomness https://boardgamegeek.com/image/4112285/black-rose-wars

I wish they scaled better with AoS or historicals, as I really love that Valerio mini

This kickstarter only has 24 hours left, and there's a bunch of great stuff unlocked. If you like tactical RPG games like Final Fantasy Tactics, check it out. I also really like the fantasy renaissance setting. I have the first edition of the game and it was really fun, and this one looks even better. I especially like the dungeon crawl possibilities in the catacombs expansion. And we might even end up with a free dragon hunt expansion if we reach the last goal.

There are also several crossover missions or enemies, including ones from Dark Rituals, Middara, Tanares Adventures, and Sword & Sorcery, if that interests anyone.
