As Brexit draws closer and it is still unclear if there will be import taxes delivering to Germany or not, I'm currently looking at different models that are on my "somewhere in the future" wishlist and are produced in the UK. Looking at Forgeworld there are (amongst other things to the displeasure of my purse) the Malcador Battletank and Malcador Annihilator. I would prefer to only get one model and magnetize it in a way that I can have it both ways. Does anybody possess one of the two models and could tell me:

1.: is the mounting of the "turret" weapon designed in a way that the Battlecannon/twin Lascannon is a separate piece (that could thus easily be changed in between)? And if not: would it be very difficult to cut the weapon free?
2.: does the Malcador Battletank also contain a part for a Hull Demolisher cannon, as the Annihilator and Defender seem to?
3.: how close in caliber is the Battletank cannon to a Leman Russ Battlecannon or Baneblade cannon, if I should proxy it with those parts?

Generally I'm currently trying to figure out if - should I buy one - it would be easier to get the Annihilator and build it in a way that it can switch to the battletank or the other way around.

Thanks,
Pyro

Looking at the build instructions, via the reddit, it looks like the turret and gun assembly are the same, a turret with the gun attached to a cylinder that goes into the turret "socket".

Doesnt look like it. The Annihilator and Defender come with a 2 piece hull battle cannon (mount and barrel), whilst the Battle Cannon comes with a different mount and 3 smaller guns, looks like heavy bolter, las-cannon and, based off the rules, an autocannon.

Sadly, the instructions that were posted seem very short, but that doesnt surprise me, FW vehicles seem to be very "its obvious, you figure it out".

Thanks.

Looks like I will just have to try... I tend to the normal Battletank, as its look somehow appeals to me

For those interested: the Battlecannon and cylindrical weapons mount are separate parts (see attachment). So it shouldn't be difficult to cobble together twin lascannons to have both options. Also as Fictional already said: the Malcador Battletank comes without hull Demolisher. But I have found a 3d printing file that might work.
