Like many on here I just recently got into resin 3d printing and I thought Id make a thread to share my efforts in final form.

My first successful printing was this adorable gobbo commander, because while I have 3000 points of the little scamps, the joke "you wouldnt download a grot" was too funny for me to pass up.

Here I first ran into my recurring struggle which is paying attention to scale. Kommanda Swolo as he is called is a solid 25% bigger than a normal grot, which admittedly does jive with the designers stance on whether grots should have rippling romance novel cover abs.

Second successful print was just some Stealin' Jeans - a simple way to use all the extra weapons, heads, and arms that came in my Acolyte boxes! A couple of the models ended up with weird gouges cut into them, like a rectangle on the screen didn't print, that I figure was my first brush with file corruption. When I printed the second set of five later on I used only the pairs that had printed nicely the first time round, and they didn't have any issues.

And most recently, we've got these fab lads who will eventually be a full squad of 10 noisy bois. I love the sculpts on these because they don't just look like you took the basic spiky sloppy chaos marine kit and painted it pink, they actually look like cruel, delusional warriors who believe themselves the height of aesthetic perfection. I'll most likely be assembling some small Slaaneshi allied forces to run with my Thousand Sons and Daemons.

Also found some excellent Electropriests, a model ive always loved the concept but hated GWs execution of.

Ive also started messing around in blender. I found these more dynamic, reasonably scaled dire avengers (gw model for ref) and unfortunately there was only 1 regular avenger pose, and 1 exarch, both pretty distinct. So, I thought to myself, ill just pose my own dang models!

Nothing particularly fancy, just posed the arms and deleted the standing exarchs second gun, but I now have 10 uniquely posed dire avengers with a mix of standing and running poses.

Don't want to make a whole nother thread for this, but im pretty pleased with how he's coming out: I could not find any DnD minis or STLs that even casually resembled my character, so I made one myself! My scrawny, completely physically inept bug druid is looking sweet (painted version still wip)

Sorry, I dont want to toot my own horn too much here - I made him by altering a previously female sculpt in meshmixer - flattened the chest and added the robe detail back on, widened the waist, flattened the butt and hips, masculinized the facial features, removed some antlers it had, changed the ears from elf to human and added the glasses. I changed the top half of the staff to the crook and custom sculpted the hive part, and then I just found a few bugs. He often casts Animal Messenger with a moth and uses wild shape to become a swarm of bees, so hes got a moth in his hand and a bee on his shoulder.
