In the new Necron 9th Edition Codex, has the My Will Be Done rule been limited +1 to dice on melee attacks only? It reads to me as not applying to shooting.

In 8th Edition it added +1 to shooting and melee.

If it is +1 to shooting, can someone help me cite that in the core rules?

Looks like it still applies to me...?
"...each time a model in that unit makes an attack, add 1 to the hit roll. A unit can only be selected for this ability once per phase."
Shooting attacks are still attacks, not to be confused with the Attacks characteristic. Check under the Shooting phase rules and you'll find the "Making Attacks" subsection, which further defines this.

If it's that second part that's thrown you off - about the unit only being able to be selected once per phase - that just stops you stacking the bonus from multiple sources onto one unit.

Thank you. I see it now on page 220. I was thinking attacks was the Attack characteristic.

Sadly GW has continued the "tradition" of overloading the words "attack" and "wound".
