I have been playing a semi-mechanized list with Evil Sunz and I haven't had good luck with it. So I came to think, how do I make the most of the Klan Kultur? Footslogging infantry!

The plan is to make it into close combat with the Boyz as fast as possible and park on the midfield objectives. The Mega Nobz get in via tellyporta or da jump and strike at something important, depending on the opening. Otherwise they will park on an objective in cover.
The Stormboyz deepstrike and try to claim a backfield objective from the opponent.
The Tankbustas drive around in my backfield and try to take out any vehicles that threaten my Boyz the most.

I know that the Shoota Boyz aren't optimal, but I have them painted, and assault weapons are nice as Evil Sunz, because of the advance + shoot without penalty.

When I expand to 2K points, my plan is to include Ghazzy and more Choppa & Slugga Boyz.

Looks good enough, but you should probably just toss those tankbustas into the tellyporta as well.

The biggest problem I see here is that you have no dakka at all. If there is something across the board that is great at blending/neutralizing boyz, scoring lots of points or part of a combo, there is absolutely nothing you can do about that. The best choices here would probably be mek guns or some planes.


Also note that BattleScribe options flagged as (Index) are not legend rules and actually illegal to take - they only remain in BS for people who have according house-rules in place.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks do not think that purple makes them harder to see. They do think that camouflage does however, without knowing why.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

I second Jidmah: you have very little firepower. I'd suggest ditching the painboy, trukk and the banner nob for some mek gunz and/or buggies. Big shootas on boyz are also a waste of points.

Put the bustas into tellyporta; if anything all their bonuses don't work while embarked.

I don't play in a hardcore meta, but my opponents at least know what they are doing, and are winning over me often enough.

Good point about something that can reach out and kill stuff that threatens my Boyz. Would a Dakkajet do the trick, or should I rather go for a couple of Mek Gunz (they are just so damn expensive)?

Also thanks for the heads up about the index options. I didn't know that.

Thanks for the feedback! Don't they retain their rerolls while they are embard? In that case I have been playing them wrong.

I removed the Big Shoota Boyz, banner Nob, Painboy and Trukk, which gained me enough points for two Megatrakk Scrapjets. I also changed the Warboss on foot for the updated FW Biker Boss.

The plan is to tellyport in the MegaNobz and Tankbustas, while deepstriking the Stormboyz. The Boyz will take the midfield, and the Warboss will try to be patient and charge something important with his long charge range. Now I have the scrapjets to give me some decent ranged shooting, while keeping a lot of mobility.
What do you think?

The rule is ambiguous on that, but the only working interpretation is that they should work. If an opponent argues otherwise, point out that you bomb squigs would lose the ability that kills them after use as well, giving you infinite bomb squigs.

Looking good. If this doesn't work for you'll probably have to go full mech or full infantry, but I would definitely give it a few tries first.
