The purpose of this is to find out if we can classify Orkz as Americans.

1: Freedom of Speech. Orkz are the only faction that allows freedom of speech. Others may claim they have it but its not truly free speech, for example. The imperium you are heavily restricted on what you can say. Same with the Eldar, if you start talking about how maybe slaanesh isn't all that bad...boom execution squad. But orkz? Absolute freedom of speech. You can tell the warboss hes a git, he might kill you, but he might also just laugh it off and chop off a single arm. Likewise, you can worship whatever god you want, be it Gork, Mork, Khorne or even that pile of spent shell casings you keep referring to as "The orkmissiah".

2: Right to bear arms, no other faction as a whole worships guns quite like the Orkz. In fact, barring a few races like Necrons and Nidz who are forced either biologically or through technology to basically be a living gun/weapon, no other faction arms itself in totality like the Orkz. Nice car you have there, know what would make it better? some Dakka.

3: Willing to fight at the drop of a hat. you called me a git? thems fighting words. You sank a Cruise ship we sent filled with munitions to a country you are at war with? time to join a world war. Orkz and Americans seem willing to get stuck in for any and all reasons.

4: Dislike of the metric system. While Imperials may measure things using their highly advanced metric system, orkz and Americans prefer to use their own individual system. How far away is that? 100 feet. How far away is that? 2 kicks of a grot.

But yes in deed you can compare a majority of Americans with Orkz, although mainly for other reasons you have not listed!

I agree a lot of amricans have an orkish mentality, but the other half of the country may be closer to the Tau.

Basically it's a highly satirised view upon certain ideologies and politicians , social critical of the 80s britain and full with in jokes.
Further on the baseline concept the orks are the commedic relief of the universe even though in any other these would be the BBG themselves.

Orks are British Football Hooligans. Loud, louts who are full of beans and, well, violence. They never lose, their team never loses and they'll bash your head in for suggesting it!

Eldar are the Upper Class "old money" British (a once superior group with vast wealth and resources, now a mostly shattered remnant of their former selves and a steadily dwindling population).

Imperium could be said to be post WW2 UK Empire - basically crumbling but clinging to what it could; though one could go back further to Edwardian times when it was sort of at its height of power; whilst still clinging to old and odd cultural ideals and concepts; whilst at the same time not really expanding like it was in the Victorian era - but we are getting into really sketchy areas of comparisons.

I've seen people make those exact comparisons many times. I've never seen any British or French person get upset about it. But maybe Americans are touchier about perceived insults to their national identity? (Ironically, that makes them seem rather less orky...)
