And I have yet to finish my "Not-Fallout" stuff as well, and I must paint stars on the bots white instead of yellow. But so many older and new murder monkey stuff to play with, and I just read their section of the N3 rulebook, seems they are also quite Klingon in their style and culture, very soldiery, and survival of the fittest.

So I considered leave the 2nd one plain as is, or do some different style warpaint on the D-7?

I am looking to give myself a Klingon birthday with a 1/1000 scale D-4 and older style (Enterprise) BoP model. Sadly it has been sold out, so a resin K' tinga will do

Some fans are all gooey over the Constitution aka Kirks' Enterprise. For me it was this ship class, I could never get enough of the Klingon D-7.

Seeing it in hand that is quite a sizeable model, great work on them.

Of which ship? the D4 will be slightly smaller than the D7s

Valhalla130 wrote:I love the Constitution class and the D7. Definitely the best.

I like the D4 having shared design principles with the D7, and one is on the way, in the same scales as the two D7s

I was surprised by the delivery from the mail today! D4 has warped in to be worked on!

All the parts
[/img]

Comparing wing hulls with the D7, it's bigger cousin
[/img]

[/img]

So, as can be seen from the images of the wing sections of both the cruisers, the D4 would have a smaller crew,(someone gave it the same 430 personnel as a D7/Connie obviously with no concept of actual spacing inside a closed hull vessel, and the D4 at most a 300 person crew, more comfortable set up would be 250 at most)

Clean up so far is going okay, and I have drilled holes for the struts and spars.

Nice work. That's pretty much spot on for a canon KDF ship paint scheme. You certainly know your Klingon vessels and what they are supposed to look like.

Well done Shas'. Looks good.
I like the glow of the torpedo / zappy-death hole at the front.

The impuse engines (or whatever the Kingons would call them, something that sounds like someone sneezing their brain out) look a bit flat green in the photos. I suspect that's in the camera, but maybe some more highlighting of the ridges there?

I used the red/orange/yellow for the Impulse engines and torp launchers to get that sort of effect. I had forgotten to add the darker shade of green for the Warp engines as that is where the greens are put.

Warp engines, I feel bad for those who are green color blind as the differences will not be apparent.

Oh this is 22nd century retro time! BoP from Enterprise series. she is a 48man crewed frigate class vessel.

Belly guns and pipes and such
[/img]

dry fit the upper structure to the main hull
[/img]

Wings and other bits

main, wingtip cannons(this model comes with them same sized)
[/img]

At 1/1000 scale it went together fairly fast for me, some cleaning/drilling and voila`

Side view of the left, metal rods are seen

Back side view

right side
