Hello !

I've tried lots of CW lists nowadays, and it's really hard not to give too much secondaries points these days. This list I submit to you is focused on all the 3 phases with 5 psykers, some hard CC and heavy flat 3 firepower.

There are some cons like giving free Bring it Down or Abhor the Witch points, but there's no way i find another way in eldar to have something decent.

Thanks for the reviews !

What secondary objectives do you generally choose with this army?

I like to take "Grind them down" since I get a good firepower and i'm free to choose and pick my fights. I like it too cause even if i play second (and get disadvantaged)
I know how much units I have to kill.

I like "Engage on all fronts" too since I'm very fast.

Last one depends on the opponent's list and the scenario. I can easily take "Bring it down" or "Mental Interrogation" with this much psykers.

To be fair, I have faired poorly running Craftworld lists outside of running a vehicle skewed army (with as many multi damage weapons as I can muster). I generally face Marine type armies in 9th edition.

I agree with your secondary choices of Grind Them Down and Engage on All Fronts, though your list has a few very fragile units that complicate Grind Them Down. I tend to avoid Mental Interrogation, but you are running more psykers than I do.

The main challenges in games is when I utilized a combined shooting and assault platform. It could be that I simply am not playing it correctly as I end up with units too spread out and ultimately picked apart.

If you play the GT missions, I would recommend considering two things: (1) Drop the Banshees and add a unit of Warp Spiders with the Web of Deceit Exarch power. (2) Pick Deploy Scramblers as a Secondary. In turn 1, utilize the Avenger unit to Deploy Scramblers in the mid board, or your deployment zone. Keep the Spiders in deep strike until turn 2 or three and drop in opponent's deployment zone. Afterwards, utilize Web of Deceit to place the Spiders wherever necessary to pick up the third Deploy Scramblers.

I personally prefer having Focus Will on a Farseer as he can cast a third power for 1 CP. It does sacrifice a Smite, but I've found d it worth it if there are other mortal wound options in the army.

I do like having more flat 3 damage as more and more 3 wound Marines are appearing on tables where I locally play. The Lynx and Reapers make for interesting options. However, I do like Fire and Fade and would sacrifice one shot from an Exarch to combine the unit in order to provide better protection.

Let us know how the list fares!

I played today against Harlies.
I lost 70-66, cause there's no way i could keep and take my primaries. You fell the gap between those codexs. However, lynx and few reapers fit well in the meta !

That has been the big issue I've faced in 9th. To remedy it somewhat, I tended to play more conservative in the early rounds, ensuring to hold 1-2 objectives while concentrating on ensuring my opponent held the same. In the later rounds, I would be able to push out a bit more to help offset the points I would give up, especially from Bring It Down (I run 12-15 vehicles in an army).

What flimsy troops I do run is 3 or 4 x 5 Dire Avengers. I give the Exarch dual Avenger Catapult and Shredding Fire. They die very quickly, so if I can get off a volley from the Exarch, aided by Expert Crafters and Masterful Shots, it works out ok.

Craftworlds are in a tough spot against a lot of newer armies these days.

1 x 5 Warp Spiders

And the weapons? Starcannon?
Well yeah that's a lot of vehicules, and I find interesting the conclave.
What's your use of it?

I quit playing too much firepower with those overloaded 9th battlefield. There are plenty of times where I can"t find my Los to shoot. The meta is more and more infantery oriented, they can hide pretty easily.

My meta has lot of LOS blocking terrain, but also a lot of Marines. Starcannons where there are options (magnetize weapon options)

The Conclave allows me to cast Jinx at 36" range primarily. LOS not required, can still use Seer Council stratagem and, if necessary, can have Focus Will Cast upon the unit from the Farseer.

Also as for the latest FAQ, bring it down will give you less points so mechanized lists are slightly buffed, thats good news

I did see that. I'm playing in a three round event this weekend and and hopefully it will make some difference.

Doom is better than jinx most of the time. Why the fck would you put focus will on your Farseer instead of smite?

Most the Marine armies I'm facing these days are infantry heavy. Most of my army wounds on a 3+. With Expert Crafters or an occasional Runes of Witnessing, Doom has not been needed as a result.

I've found Focus Will to be invaluable each turn to use supporting either the Farseer or Conclave. The Farseer in this build role is to support the rest of the army, not be a MW item.

I have used a Farseer and Yvraine for this purpose and they put out reasonable damage (4-5d3 MW). It's good; I've just been using the above as described instead.

Focus Will on a Farseer will let your warlock actually cast something, for example. Considering your farseer has a stratagem that lets him cast 3 powers if you want to, it's a good thing. I'd rather this than having a warlock literally just cast focus will the whole game and do nothing else.
