Hi guys,

I've played Warhammer back in the days and I've decided to start fresh. I was competitive back in the days, but it was too much stress and rule lawyering for me, so I wanted to start a new list.
I've been out of the game for too long, I have no idea if the list is fine or not. I wanted to have your opinion before buying super expensive models.
I wanted to go with a World war I theme.
Does the list makes sense? Should I clear some Russ for manticore?

Regimental Doctrine

Tank Commander x3
Lascannon, lascannon sponsor, demo turret

Troops
4 x Death Korps Grenadier (meltagun)

Siege tanks work just fine for DKOK vibes, and demolishers are strong rn... lascannon soonsons aren’t a thing though, I recommend multi meltas due to range synergy with the main cannon

Also concurr re multimeltas, but for a different reason. They can fire even in melee ranges and being hit by a few multimelta shots is something most units feel, even when the demo cannon is deactivated by bad touch / melee cause its "blast". I would go so far as to say its not a bad idea to stick a stormbolter on the tank, too, which can also scrape the occasional last gaurdsman off your hull. Fluffwise, I would think a mix of heavy bolter and flamer might also be "very dkok" as well, giving the tank a WW1 feel to it as it crawls forward to flame out the enemy and hoses them with bullets.
But that's fluff. Gameplay choices?, I am totally with gamerguy here.

I am a super newbie in this edition, and I used battlescribe.
When I select a tank with the DKoK doctrine, it's possible to have lascanon [legend]

What does that legend mean? That it has been banned ?

Edit: I checked online, it says that GW no longer make a model for it, won't be reviewed for balance and not recommended for competitive play and tournament likely not accept them.

(At the same time, I'm not planning to be competitive/tournament)
