Ok, last one for now. Just looking for some input on what to build towards, so this is really kind of just the starting point for a list to take to fun games down the shop (whenever that's allowed again.)

OH MY SIGMAR WHY DO YOU HAVE SO MANY

Ahem...

-Pick a subfaction. All three are upgrades over not having one.

-Centigors and Warhounds are bad. They are cheap in points so if you want to run them do so, but a heads up.

-You will need additional models for summoning, as it is a key part of BoC. This can take the form of having a few extra 10-man infantry units, but I am personally more of a cockatrice fan.

-Don't forget the herdstone terrain piece! This is a huge part of the BoC army.

-As a general warning, Beasts of Chaos are among the weaker AoS armies overall. But I would also say this is the best book they have had since still being part of the "Hordes of Chaos" army book in WHFB so it isn't that bad.

Road to Renown! It's like classic Path to Glory, but repaired, remastered, expanded! https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/778170.page

I chose an avatar I feel best represents the quality of my post history.

I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games.

Because I had this many WFB armies started, more or less.

Now I'm just transferring them over and fleshing them out. In my defence, it was 3 in WFB as opposed to 5 since the LoN and FEC were all Vampire Counts and the StD and BoC could be allied and run in the same list.

I would highly recommend choosing a sub-faction (don't worry, you can always re-choose it game to game).
And you might look and see if any of your stuff qualifies for any of the Warscroll battalions. Or if any of those interest you.
(My favorite is the All Herd & The Phantasmagoria of Tzeentch.)

Summoning is an important aspect of our army. Look into it & have some stuff ready to make use of it.
Do NOT leave your summoning shaman hanging out unprotected. Summoning can be a royal PITA for your opponent & once they figure out how it works/how to curtail it they will come gunning for the shaman.
My own shaman has proven so annoying that he's had the honor(?) of being hunted down by an Arkonaught Ironclad....
