inquistion detachment (3 cp)

ordo minoris inquisitor (combimelta and powerswrod). he knows psychic pursuit and smite.

5 ordo malleus acolytes with 5 combiplasma (in certain games, this is a unit to drop out of a flyer on top of enemy gaurd equiv's, in others, it becomes a midfield roadblock using the clandestine strategem of the inquisition)

The sentinal's job is to waddle forward into the gap (potentially) of the clandestine stratagem line to block alpha strikers. IF, that is, I end up needing to do so.

If I am right, I will be able to shut down ravengaurd and scout deploy marine players like they are nothin! NOTHING!
The dragons scions have an easy time dropping in from above, which leaves it open (easier) to bring in the acolytes (and even the gaurd!) in a transport (hey, you guys, out of the box, that's our box! See the badge? and I guess the gaurdsmen will, I dunno, look piteful until someone lends them a flyer). And while it may not seem incredible, plopping 40 scions with 20 plasma guns and 4 shots of plasma pistol plasma at "short" range (could be out to 15 inches in the plasma case) next to the 12 inquistion guys with another 12 good special weapons at 9.1 inches (so another 11 plasma and a single melta, and then 2 jokaro's 12 shots, no less, I hope that's a nice punch, but it works best if a jokaro is able to give the effect of quarry to the 6 or 5 acolytes, then they can open up that groups' combi on the combiplasma. (Which wouldn't be worth it unless you got the full to hit roll reroll somehow).[

Antihorde.
Each valkyrie is roughly worth a wyvern on the wing, and the 2d6 manticore shots, some 24 ish shoots from acolytes, 12 from jokaero, and of course an entire scions detachment going AHA.
antitank or knight or whatever. We gots.
antimelee. We hope for tanks -- but don't count out three shots slamming home on officers to disrupt enemy herohammer, thank vindicaire!

I dont know if inquisition has any special rules, but you cant mix IMPERIUM units in one detachment. Not allowed under matched play rules, p. 280.

Ok, I can see where you are saying that but I think its not so.
The inquistion detachment all share the keywords (including inquisition AND imperium) and are thus a battleforged detachment with a keyword other than "imperium" in common. Its (in matched play) not enough to have ONLY imperium in common. Consider that every marine in the game is an imperium keyword unit, if you couldn't mix them together without another keyword (adeptes astartes) you would be not allowed to have any marine detachments! The inquistion powers, however, are not regimental per se, and nowhere do they require all the same ordo in the detachment to be useable. Since they have another valid keyword to share, they can be in the same detachment, and since some of them ONLY have one keyword (inquistion), not all of them have to be the same ordo to have quarry powers.
