New year, new thread (plus I can change the title on this one.

Its our first #FalloutFriday of the year, so we see the release of the final part of our Enclave narrative Campaign Vestiges Resurgent available as a free download now
https://www.modiphius.net/collections/fallout-wasteland-warfare/products/fallout-wasteland-warfare-the-vestiges-resurgent-part-3-pdf-free

Hopefully players, hobbyists and painters have been working on their entries for part 2, there is a chance to get some store credit for catching my eye with models, terrain and battle reports each month.

Also this month, we wrap up the launch wave for the Enclave with two more sets of Power Armour to reinforce your force.

The Enclave Soldier set has two more poses for the intimidating Enclave Power armour.
https://www.modiphius.net/collections/fallout-wasteland-warfare/products/fallout-wasteland-warfare-enclave-soldier-set

Meanwhile the Tesla set has two alternative poses for the upgraded Tesla Armour including the FO3 styled Gatling Laser for those who like to electrify their foe.
https://www.modiphius.net/collections/fallout-wasteland-warfare/products/fallout-wasteland-warfare-enclave-tesla-set

Check them out on the store (or at your LGS if they are safe to open).

I noticed last week that the new creatures added via Into The Wasteland don't have cap costs. I know that game mode doesn't expressly use them but I was playing around with numbers to see if I could get more interesting balanced spawn groups since I had been using some RPG created.

I'm guessing that since they're not official cards for the wargame they don't have an official cost but I wanted to see if they were just accidentally left out of the cap cost sheet?

They won't have a cost "yet".

Battlemode files should be up already but we are moving to a new way of presenting the info and its added a few teething troubles for layout. Plus approvals...

The new critters will get their points in time, but ITW is something a bit different so while in a perfect world all its content would be ready to go in all modes, that's sadly not quite the case.

I'll see if I can get our team to put some WIP points together at least for those who want them.

Once the minis are ready (spoilers) then they become an "actual" release with all that entails.

Hey folks, the force lists for Battlemode have been updated to the new 2021 format and are now available online: https://www.modiphius.com/fallout-battlemode-downloads.html

Please do let us know if you spot any issues.

The information is presented in a slightly different way to (hopefully) make things easier, everyone will need the Items file for points and options, then just download the sheet for your faction(s) to see who can take what.

Enjoy.

Oh my. I see a lot of New Vegas units and characters in some of the existing battle-mode faction lists. What a sneaky little preview!

Would I be correct in thinking that this removes a number of the restrictions that were previously in place regarding weapon options available, such as Cait now having access to a Super Sledge, and also armour?

Yup, the battle mode lists have opened up a lot.

New scenarios are being worked on to to mix things up a bit.

We started with things locked down to see how the game handled a more pvp/ competitive style and now we are relaxing things a little to see what happens next.

Morning folks.

"January" sale has finally started (thanks to Brexit et al for delaying that...)

Some nice reductions on several lines, RPG and miniature.

If you are looking to pick up some of the character sets from across the Fallout range, now is a good time as they are 40% off in the store.

Lots of AC minis at frankly ridiculous prices too, plus some RPGs for those who do that sort of thing

Hey Jon,

Are there any plans for more STL releases forthcoming? I finally got my printer set up, and I have been loving the sets I've picked up so far and would like some more options.

Something I'd be particularly interested in would be STLs containing the workbenches. Maybe also a set with sprues of all the weapons sculpted so far, without hands sculpted on, for conversions. I could really use a lot more pipe rifles, laser rifles, and super sledges.

Yes, but it’s a case of when we have capacity.

Sculptors are currently tied up with the last of the next ES batch, then they are right on to some Fallout but we have taken on two new freelancers recently so maybe I will try to carve some time out.

As ever, we want to do everything you folks want, it’s a case of managing the best running order.

Side note, we also rely on 3rd parties to help with supports for 3D printing so that slows us down a bit too. The whole print at home journey is one we are still early into, but Chris is keen to develop more (while I fly the flag for the traditional cast minis) and we have some interesting experiments planned that will further our 3D exploration.

Whelp that's a lot of Space 1889 books purchased. I'll have to see if I can track down the core book somewhere in physical form as it's unfortunate to have so many books in print and not that. Also got Fragged Seas as I like Wade's work (his books are worth a read as I believe he has an instructional design background and his books are probably the best laid out I've seen for rules ever).

Also some Fallout stuff, as this is the fallout thread. And now that I think of it, I forget to add the stupid turrets. Dang it.

What scale are Achtung! Cthulhu minatures? 28mm or 32mm? Do they scale well with the Fallout and Elder Scrolls miniatures?

Not really. I'd say they are almost truescale 28mm, aimed to be used alongside things like Warlords plastics for WW2.

They will look pretty small next to a Fallout mini for sure.

I'll try to dig some out and take a comparison shot later.

Here is a shot of two AC models with an Elder Scrolls and Fallout mini.

I never realized how much taller the skeletons are and I actually own them and have them painted up but have never put them next to a fallout mini.

In other news I finally canceled by Behemoth pre-order after 10 months as I wanted my sentry bots I also ordered at the same time. I know there's work behind the scenes to fix the distribution issues and I'll get one eventually but I've got a bunch of stuff to work on in the mean time.

Thanks for the picture. The scale is not what I am looking for but I will say that I asked because there are some ridiculous sale prices on Achtung! Cthulhu at the moment, like 23 models plus the rulebook, counters for £20.

Yep. The Federal Government no longer subsidizing international shipping to and from the US can really make it painful to buy overseas now.

My order from the sale was $90 with $40 shipping but I also had a lot of books which really increases the cost. Still, even with that shipping costs the books are a steal and in a game system my group loves.

Automatrons Assemble

The Robot Workbench terrain piece has arrived.

Available as both a resin kit and an STL for those who prefer to print at home, any Mechanists out there will do well to add this to their tables as a centrepiece or objective.

John: We'll have more STLs for sale when our sculptors have time.

Also John: Here's a new Model you can print.

The nightkin look great as well. It will be interesting to see how you're handle the Westcoast Mutants in terms of factions as they're really diverse group motivation wise as opposed to East coast that really just are programmed to kill, eat and repopulate. I guess for Narrative that's up to the player to decide.

Whelp the cat is out of the bag. Stores have started to put up pre-orders. I guess Modiphius had to know these would pop up as soon as stores got the info but still probably takes some of the fun out of it for John.

This one from Australia has a pretty good amount getting released around the same time. It's a pretty large amount of stuff. Seams bigger then the last wave as there are still a few things we have been teased not up on this site.

I'm sorry they ruined your surprise, but damn I like those NCR.

You guys don't have head options in the kits right? Might have to pop over to a local shop that I know has stuff on the shelf to dip my toes in on a kit...

Not in these sets (other than the Securitrons...)

Future sets... maybe

Do you guys do head packs or anything like that? I'd love to be able to get a bunch of the NCR Ranger heads without needing a 3D printer.

Without making you work too hard, JonWebb, any suggestions for a good small kit to get a feel for the product range?

I did debate for a bit if I should post them but I saw them on other sites (I don't regularly check Austrailan collectable shops) so I figured they'd end up here shortly anyway. It's a great lineup.

Speaking of Securitrons I want to say from the preview earlier the normal smiling face is sculpted on but what about the other faces? blank with decals or sculpted as well?

Turns out almost everything has been in the battle mode lists for a month so none of the contents are spoilers, just the sculpts.

In battlemode there are points for ED-E, Veronica and The Courier. I knew ED-E and The Courier were going to be in the wave but people that pay more attention to BM then me pointed out Veronica on Facebook.

What's a battle mode list?

I genuinely just kinda pop in and lurk the Modipus threads, NCR definitely perked my interest.

Battlemode is their restricted Vs Mode. Basically how every other wargame plays. As the core rules are more casual when it comes to list building really throwing any sense of balance out the window. Which works great for solo/co-op modes.

It's got it's own force building rules. https://www.modiphius.com/fallout-battlemode-downloads.html

It's 100% JonWebb's project as Chris didn't want a competitive mode but Jon loves them so I guess he does a lot of the work with some playtesters on the side.

Also looks like NCR and Cesare's Legion aren't in BM yet so half of the wave was known (though we new the contents of the core boxes)

This was answered on Reddit. 3 Faceplates with sculpted detail and one blank.
