I have not played Age of Sigmar in well over two years, and the last time I played, I ran Slaves to Darkness. The old jank, not the new hotness. I was gifted some Beastmen recently, and I thought, oh, why not? Let's build a list. Unfortunately, I know very little about the AoS 'meta' and I'm not really plugged-in to the AoS community, so I've got no idea what I'm doing.

I picked Phantasmagoria because I like the idea of turning back enemy spells, considering my own are fairly weak. And I picked Chamon as my realm because it sounds awesome. But I see this as kind of a fluff army, if I'm being honest. I'd love help figuring out what to do with the last 30 points, or figuring out how to sandwich in some Dragon Ogors, because they look fun too. The Skyfires came highly recommended by a friend who does well with them, and the rest of it... well, the rest of it is the best I could do. Thanks in advance for your help and insight!

Intentionally or no you have more or less landed on combining the parts of non-marked BoC and the parts of Tzeentch which work best together. From a min-max perspective yeah, it could be better, but this should serve reasonably well save a very cutthroat meta.

A sidenote is that you could also use this army with the Disciples of Tzeentch allegiance abilities instead of the BoC ones without altering anything save artifacts & spells. If you wanted to -change- it up without spawning a desire to alter model choice.

Generally speaking the classic approach to BoC is to have a Bray-Shay sit next to the herdstone with 10 ungors, stabbing them for primal call points. Since they are going to die anyways, regular ungors are fine.

You could get a cheap endless spell, but there is an advantage associated with having less points than your opponent (see matched play rules).
