Painters prefer to show off their armies, which is 100% understandable. But I'm about to paint some buildings and I would like to gather some ideas for colors.

If you have buildings or ruins with colors that came out really well, feel free to post pics here, and please indicate what colors you used. Thanks a lot.

This was really quick and simple, but I thought it came out alright.

Basically just primed with gunmetal spray paint (Duplicolor Graphite wheel paint), sprayed with chipping fluid, airbrushed with a couple of zenithal layers of lightening greys (VMC Neutral Grey, VMC Light Grey, bit of VMC White), chipped back down, and washed with a thin brown wash (1:4 VMC Brown Glaze/water) followed by a thin black wash (1:4 VMC Black Glaze/water).

Here's some recent ones set up for a 1500-point game. They are made of photo storage boxes from the craft store, cut down to height with the lids flipped over for the roofs. The doors are from the Maelstrom's Edge terrain sprue, and the roofs are covered with window screen or diamond-plate textured styrene. They were speed-painted with art store acrylic and weathered with more acrylic applied with sponges. Pretty quick and easy exteriors all told.

Catbarf and MacPhail - lovely weathering!

Here's some of mine:

Painted with Army Painter Army Green and Vallejo Basalt Grey (Or maybe Neutral Grey) drybrushed with Light Grey. The graffiti was made up on the PC, printed and glued onto the wall panels.

Army Painter Necrotic Flesh spray for most of this. Handpainted graffiti, this time.

Based with AK Interactive Rust Basecoat, and some red patches brushed on, drybrushed with orange and then given a liberal and rough coat of Army Painter Dry Rust.

Based with Rust Basecoat, then a coat of Army Painter Plate Metal, and then Dry Rust and a Vallejo Beasty Brown drybrush here and there.

This uses a dark brown spray basecoat and then a coat of a 'chalky finish' beige, bought from the local hardware store. Weathered with Beasty Brown.

Army Painter Wolf Grey spray, weathered with a sponge of Vallejo Heavy Charcoal.

Army Painter Ulramarine spray, weathered with Heavy Charcoal and Beasty Brown.

Black with a light drybrush of Boltgun Metal. The walls are mirrored cardboard.

More brown and chalky spray. This was built from a yoghurt tub and half of a Christmas bauble.

Laser cut card kit, with some modifications. Sprayed with Army Painter Army Green, highlight with Coat D'Arms Putrid Green and weathered with Heavy Charcoal and Beasty Brown.

Various hardware store grey and white sprays.

For the curious, there are plenty more buildings, along with walkthroughs of their construction, here!

Listen to Insaniak. He speaks the truth, and leads us all into further awesomeness.

I made a bunch of buildings out of foamed PVC for necromunda.

Big platforms were primed in grey and then variously washed and dry brushed in varying greys then sponged in black and white. The grungier one I took a dremel sanding drum to first, then used the depressions for pools of different coloured yuck.

Made use of the maelstrom edge building decoration sprue here alongside some resin bits from ttCombat. Again, various greys with rough drybrushing and washes

Very nice to see all this work!
Insaniak is the man, but these are all really nice and full of great ideas!
@Flinty: It's also good to know Eck is a police informer...(I love the graffiti and posters and debris idea for terrain, so double plus vote for that work!)
