So I been gone from the 40k scene for a few years because of college and simply not being able to afford it for while. However, I have returned!!!....with but slightly more purchasing power

I don't know that I will be able to focus on just one army or thing, so I hope to instead just update things I have found interest in doing here as I go. Rather than playing the game, I tend to prefer the building the models and the lore of 40k, and build armies based on what I think would be cool and interesting rather than playability, so please do take it easy on my armies' fieldability.

You can treat this post as a way to navigate to my builds / armies as I go! I'll try to keep links updated as much as possible. Using spoiler function as a collapsible menu system so the post doesn't just extend off into infinity.

Projects:

Vulkarian Battle Assemblies (may link lore later...)
Spoiler:
----- 1st Battle Assembly
---------- 1st Directive
--------------- 1st Legion
-------------------- Steel Fury Baneblade Company 1

Necrons

======================================================================================
Potential future projects: (no particular order)
Spoiler:
Capitol Imperialis [40k scale]
- height (lore): 50m tall (~1.5x FW Mars Pattern Warlord at ~33 meters [1:60 scale calculations])
- height (build): ~33" to 36" (3ft) tall
- length (lore): 80m
- length (build): ~53" to 58" long
- width (lore): ???
- width (build): ???
- issues:
------ Behemoth Cannon (lore): "supposedly large enough that four Leman Russ Battle Tanks are capable of fitting in its barrel"
------ Behemoth Cannon (build): 4 Leman Russ in a 2x2 is a HUGE barrel. if it were to actually fit such a huge cannon and still be able to transport anything...the lore proportions are significantly off. By that I mean you would likely want to double the height and length at least. Then to think of ammo storage. At current proportions, we cant expect to transport anything near what is suggested unless you only want to shoot the main cannon twice or something.
------ Other armaments (lore): "hundreds of secondary weapons"
------ Other armaments (build): probably 20-30 major secondary armaments and another 50-60 small arms (stubbers, bolters, etc). I don't see it handling anymore significant secondary armaments. Unless you want to include portholes people can shoot out of, ~100 secondary armaments would be probably the top amount of armaments.

Leviathan [40k scale]
- height (lore): 90m tall (~3x FW Mars Pattern Warlord at ~33 meters [1:60 scale calculations])
- height (build): ~59" to 65" (~6.5ft)
- length (lore): 100m
- length (build): ~66" to 72" (6ft)
- width (lore): ???
- width (build): ???
- issues:
------ size: In epic 40k, the leviathan is smaller than the Capitol Imperialis...so.....WHY IS IT ALMOST DOULBE IN HEIGHT ACCORDING TO THE LORE WIKI.
------ armament: This is the chassis that should be handling the Capitol Imperialis's 4 Leman Russ sized Behemoth Cannon....yet it has a 1 Leman Russ sized Doomsday Cannon

Ordinati [40k scale]
- length (lore): 500m - 1,800m
- length (build): 30ft - 108ft
- issues:
------ size: It's F***ING HUGE (excuse my French). I'll build one if I end up living in a climate controlled warehouse somewhere.

Land Behemoths [40k scale]
- length (lore): 1,600m - 8,000m
- length (build): 96ft - 480ft
- issues:
------ size: It's F***ING HUGE (excuse my French). Probably will never build one. For more lore: look up "Iron Hands Land Behemoth"

Space marine landing craft [40k scale]
- length (lore): 29m - 30m
- length (build): ~18" - 20" (slightly shorter than a FW Mars Pattern Warlord is tall)

Thunderhawk Transporter [40k scale]
- need to find a FW one. Will probably have to settle to make one.

Mega Gargant [40k scale]
- height (lore): ~32m (roughly as tall as FW Mars Pattern Warlord at ~33 meters [1:60 scale calculations])
- height (build): ~20" - 24" tall(FW Mars Pattern Warlord)
- length (lore): 24m - 26m
- length (build): 14" -16" long

The start of my first baneblade squad. Yes I did just use the word "first" The lore of this particular army that I am also writing is based heavily around the use of tanks. I don't know what I spend more time on, building these miniatures or writing the lore. I'm 11 pages deep in microsoft word single-spaced....

found some necrons left over from back 6-8 years ago when I used to play. I built the Deathmarks, but the rest are from the era where the clear green rods dominated necron force. I don't know what I'ma do with the destroyers, the monolith, and the 2x necron warriors and enough clear red rods for the unbuilt models XD. Should I just sell them or just sit on them and let them ebb into a pile of shame? XD

I'll throw my 2 cents worth in, you already have a good start to a necron army 2 troops, elite, heavy and LOW. Grab a hq and codex get them built and painted and your ready to rumble. If your going guard then you are going to need more tanks (at least one for a tank commander) if that is the way your headed. Or you can grab a start collecting box from GW or go to ebay and start there.
Good luck and welcome back to the hobby!

That is true! I could build a functional necron army,! I'll think about it. I don't really play anymore so I'm more keen on buildling armies that look nice rather than for playability and the inconsistency between clear-rod and non-clear-rod models just looks a little bit odd.

Added 2 more Baneblades to the herd! I now have a full Baneblade Steel Fury Company thingy or whatever it's actually called. I probably wont every be fielding these unless someone wants a huge apoc game but hey I like building and painting these things more than actually playing so this is great!!!

EDIT: welp the images posted upside down. Is there a way to flip it? XD
