How good would an Ork army be that consist mainly of dreadnoughts? I am thinking Deff Dread and Killa Kans. Could it work?

It'd probably be terrible competitively, as it's very slow, easy to kill, and can't hold objectives.

But, super darn cool looking, and could maybe throw some folks off guard. It would be a project for a labour of love, more than any hopes at getting on the podium at events. But for games at home, or in the garage - game on.

Is the ork dreadnought horrible priced now? I thought they went dow in price 2 cycles ago.

While it's shootig attacks are quite bad. It would perhaps do fine at 85 points for 2 big shotas and 2 dread saw. Perhaps not ideal at only 4 attacks but it has a high T and good save for its points cost.

The killa kanns seems better. 55 points for 3 S8 attacks and one BS4 S8 Rocket. Seems descent enough.

Get enugh of them to saturate enemy weapons to make them stay alive longer.

They are just slow, and can't really do damage.

Killa Kans are also very susceptible to failing morale checks and loosing models that way too.

You'll struggle for sure, but it'd be a lot of fun to play. But, it might depend on the match-up.

Killa kanz are pretty terrible, among the worst units in the ork codex. Ork dreads are ok, but typically they can do some work in a full mechanized list with tons of other vehicles (planes, transports, gunwagon, buggies, artillery) but not just walkers. One single naut is fine. All units of walkers desperately want kustom jobs to work properly.

A full dread mob is certainly mediocre, but a naut and 3 dreads are a legit option in vehicles heavy list.

About dreads loadout big shootas are terrible, basically the only option that is never worth taking, maybe along with skorchas which are decent but utterly expensive. Typically dreads are kitted with a klaw and 3 saws if Evil Sunz, Goffs or Tin 'Eadz and klaw, saw, 2 kustom mega blasta if Bad Moons or Deathskullz.

Lousy but probably functional enough in a casual game to be playable.

My opinions on all walkers orks got:

Kanz are hot garbage, they cost a fortune and dont do squat and being Gretchen you cant strategem them either (ramming speed a squad of 6 kanz would be awesome)
Nevermind the potential lose a kan might lose another to morale.

Deffdreads are iffy, on one hand theyre pretty cheap for what they do but they still go poof pretty quick. Pure melee demands tellyport action, KMB is the only gun i'd even consider with them and even then i'd only put one on there (maaaaybe 2) and only if deathskullz. The joke of 3 quad-KMB with Sparklybitz is actually somewhat deadly but if you do that you arent taking a Morkanaut.

Megadreads are awesome atm but also FW. Cost about 1.5x a melee deffdread but hits harder (way harder), more wounds than 2 deffdreads, free flamers slapped on for some reason, ramshackle, and effectively built-in Ramming Speed (+1 die when charging discard lowest). No kustomjobs though.
Mekadreads can zog off, other than for the vanity of 2 killkannon BS4+ walkers they are worthless (fyi a Supakannonwagon is the same price and far superior at the same job)

Gork/Morkanauts are expensive so fielding more than 1 is difficult. Gorks generally demand tellyporta+rammingspeed to function, Morks usually auto-eat the Sparklybitz and MoarDakka strat.

Stompa...no just no lol.

Issue is two-fold:
1) Low model count, so objective holding is difficult
2) Theres simply far too many AP3/4 spammable guns right now, even plasma spam will shred the walkers just by virtue of no save allowed.

Which is why i said in a casual setting it would work because people arent as privy to spamming eradicators or hellblasters.
