I'm a relatively new poster to Dakka, but I've been in the hobby for close to 25 years, with innumerable miniatures and models painted for 40K and various other GW games. I need a new place to post my newly completed minis, and I hope that the good folk here at Dakka will appreciate them.

While most of my painting is 40K, I just finished my Halflings for Blitz Bowl and figured this might be a good opportunity to take pictures of all my teams so far.

Lots of Contrast paints used for the above.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
More Blitz Bowl:

The Elves also use a lot of Contrast, and I can't take credit for coming up with that dazzling color scheme. The other three are painted the traditional way.

I finished my most recent Grot Tank conversion to complete the unit:

Like the rest, it's based on a Meng World War Toon model, in this case a Firefly. I've posted some of the others in other Dakka threads in the past, but here they are in one spot:

Also a group shot of the whole Grot Tank Skwadron:

Yeah, great works on the front tanks - great modelling and painting, plus the conversions. Looks like perfect grot tanks.

Thank you! The Meng kits already make a great starting point for Grot Tanks, so there's not a whole lot you need to add.

Next post, two red things:

Orcs to finally complete my Blitz Bowl project. They're not amazing, compared to more recent Bloos Bowl minis, but turned out okay with a little Contrast.

Serberys Raider, probably worth their weight in gold both in game and money wise.

Mortian has a neat line of buggies that make excellent proxies for the Tauros Assault Vehicle. I know there's no good reason to use a Tauros, so I got three. Here's the first:

It's a pretty cool model overall. Cast quality is great, and assembly is pretty straightforward, except for the fact that you need to cut off the driver's feet to make him fit.

Awesome work Ace! Love the design of those buggys (and lament the loss of the FW variants), and your paintjob is superb. The weathering is wonderfully subtle.

One tentative suggestion for improvement would be a little more weathering on the weapon itself, mainly due to it's riased position and the fact that it's handled frequently. But a minor issue on an otherwise brilliant effort

Thank you, Warpig1815! That's actually a good point - I painted crew (including gun) and vehicle separately, and didn't think about weathering the gun. It makes sense to have a little wear and tear there as well, so I'll make sure to add some when I paint the next couple buggies.

Some Underworlds warbands.

The Gobbos and Skellies are mostly Contrast and therefore relatively quick paintjobs, but came out fine nonetheless.

Originally a Knight Armiger Warglaive, fitted with twin autocannons from Taro Modelmaker to make a Helverin with more Dakka. These are my first bitz from Taro, and I really like the design and casting quality. I had to straighten the barrels under a hot air dryer, but they came out fine.

Superb stuff! Loving it.

Pretty good models, although I think I like the Incursor heads better.

First Beast Snagga Boyz, painted with Contrast.

The Squigbuggy has a ton of hilarious detail, which means it's quite a bit of work. Entirely worth it, though.

Quick update with a 3rd party Mega-Armored Warboss (proxy), which I received as a gift. It's 3D printed, but I couldn't tell you the designer. Detail is a bit inconsistent, but the mini is pretty impressive overall.

Finally completed my Krieg Kill Team. I tried to find a compromise between speed and detail, since these are still basic troops in what will hopefully become a larger Krieg detachment. Base color is Vallejo Pastel Blue, grey is P3, while brown, black and bone are all Contrast. I'm pretty happy with the result, even though it still takes longer than I'd like.

For this Scrapjet, I took inspiration from Dakka poster Ezki and his fantastic work, even though my take isn't much of a conversion - I merely swapped the tracks for Shokkjump Dragsta wheels. That simple change still gives a very different feel to the vehicle.

Grot Tanks have current rules in Imperial Armour Compendium. They're not great, though, and I believe some people use them as Killa Kans or Mek Guns.

With the new codex out, it's time to do some touchups and magnetization on my Tau minis. Here's three generations of commanders: the first Farsight, the long-OOP XV-89, and a current Coldstar.
