So I got ahold of 10 terminators, a terminator librarian, and an apothecary, all painted as blood angels. I'm hoping to field these as a vanguard detachment along side my imperial knights.

My question is this: what rules do I get for having a vanguard of blood Angels? I understand paying the 3 CP and points, but I've never played marines before. As I understand it some stuff isn't available to space marine allies.

They will not be able to use Combat Doctrines (generally bonuses to AP) - every model in your army must be Space Marines to gain those. They will have access to Detachment Abilities such as Chapter Tactics as long as they are in a pure detachment. You would gain access to Stratagems as well.

All you have to do is fire three rounds a minute, and stand

If you have a 'normal' detachment (so not Support, Super-heavy or Fortification Network) of Blood Angels in an army with non Space Marines then they get:

The Company Command ability (though this is really a restriction)
The Blood Angels Chapter Tactic (better advance and charge, better at wounding on the charge).
Access to all of the Adeptus Astartes stratagems. Most (probably all?) will only affect Adeptus Astartes units.
An Adeptus Astartes warlord trait if a Space Marine is your warlord.
Access to Adeptus Astartes relics if a Space Marine is your warlord (or if you pay for one).

They do not get:

Combat Doctrines (because you have non Space Marines in your army).
Savage Echos (The Blood Angels 'super doctrine') for the same reason as above. That rule is from Blood of Baal so I'm not sure if it is even a thing any more.

You gain access to "The lost upgrades"

However you also do not get access to the chapter approved blood angel specific secondaries
