Don't know if this is the correct section for this, but I have a quick question - thinking of buying a Death Guard player a Chaos knight as a gift, but I don't have the codex so I don't know of any compatibility issues there might be in using a Chaos Knight in a Death Guard army...

By that, can Death Guard have Chaos Knights in their roster without losing any abilities?

Or maybe the knight loses some of the abilities it would have if it were in a pure Chaos Knight army?

And if I understood correctly, Chaos knights, as well as their Loyalist counterparts come in Knightly houses - is there a house dedicated to Nurgle, and if yes, what is it called (so I can google what it looks like ) ?

In short, if you guys would be willing to give me a rundown list of the pros and cons of a Chaos knight in a Death Guard army I would be really thankful...

You are allowed to have Chaos Knights and Death Guard in the same army as long as they are separated into different detachments. I don't think the Knights lose anything from having other units in the army. I believe that Death Guard do have some bonus rules that they lose out on, but I don't have their codex so I don't know exactly what.

The official Knightly Houses don't really devote themselves to particular gods in the lore. House Herpetrax is about the right colour scheme, but you get better results by just searching for Nurgle Chaos Knight and checking out conversions.

Death Guard will lose Nurgle's Gift, their pure faction bonus ability.

I asked him what that ability is, and it's like the main one that removes the toughness in an aura.

So I guess we'll have to think of something else.
