I'd like to paint my new bloodthirster like this as seen on the store page:

Does anyone know of a guide or paint recipe for the wings and black skin? I haven't been able to find anything online. There is a paint recipe on the store page but I'm not sure of its accuracy for the model.

"Show me where it says that in the codex!" said Learchus.

Just looks like black mixed with an off white or bone colour for the highlights and detailing. If I were to do this I would use vallejo deck tan or ushabti bone mixed into the black.

At the bottom of the store page it tells you the colours for the black areas: abaddon black and dawnstone grey. I presume it’s just careful highlighting.

However those might be the colour scheme for the black areas of the red version of the demon prince, not sure if there’s a difference

I looked around and they recommend the same set of paints for any black areas on models. The same paint list is used for black areas on Black Templars for example.

One of the best ways I've found to work on dark and black skin is to first use zenithal highlighting then follow it up with two or so layers of a really thinned out black (a nuln oil wash may work as well, but I haven't tried that)

The zenithal will help with natural highlighting while making sure the lighter areas don't turn into a flat black. If you want a speedy result, follow all that up with a drybrush highlight of mechanicus standard grey over the whole model. To really make it pop, pick out the really light areas with a light grey (administratum grey) and then an off white (pallid wych flesh).

Here's a reddit thread I found of the same exact question.https://www.reddit.com/r/Warhammer40k/comments/2z8sl1/guide_on_painting_black_bloodthirsterdemons/
